As PlayStation 3 owners are no doubt aware, for all the convenience of the SIXAXIS' built-in rechargeable battery, keeping a controller juiced can be a hassle if you're using the USB connection to the PlayStation 3, as the console must remain on to send electricity to the controller. Fortunately, third party manufacturers are on the scene to offer a convenient alternative.
Nyko's Charge Base 2 is a plug-in-the-wall solution that takes the PS3 out of the controller charging equation. To charge controllers, users attach small adapter dongles to SIXAXIS controllers via their mini-USB ports. The adapters stay in place, and allow users to drop the controllers into either of the two vertically-oriented docking bays on the Charge Base 2. A pair of large indicator lights on the Charge Base indicate status, red for charging and green for charged.
The system looks pretty convenient and should be a competitive option for PS3 owners that need controllers ready for action at all times. Nyko's Charge Base 2 will be hitting retail shelves next week, priced at $29.99.
Chris Arbogast, Nyko's Marketing Manager, offered a statement with the announcement. "The original ChargeBase for PS3 was well received thanks to its quick charging and storage abilities. Being committed to constantly improving our products has enabled us to design a smaller solution that is easier to use and available at a lower price."

We have seen so many different variations of light gun attachments for the Nintendo Wii. Whether they look like shotguns, real, futuristic or a shell with all those combined in one. Well this one takes the prize for looking almost like the Wii Zapper with a touch of 3rd party look to it.
This Wii-nnabe retails for $16.00 which is only $4.00 than the Nintendo branded Wii Zapper.

Updated Release (v1.3) of the Memor32 Save Game Manager. Windows Vista support has now been added on all the different Windows Vista versions. The Max Drive (.max extension) support for save games is not yet functional under Vista, will be added in a coming release.
The Memor32 can also be turned into a fully function PS2 mod chip with the use of Memento firmware. We will bring you a full review of the Memor32 once we test it out on Windows Vista. In the mean time, you can purchase the Memor32 from Divineo Germany, Divineo France, Divineo Spain, Divineo Italy, Futura Videogames, MrModchips and ConsoleSource. Just remember that it does not include the USB cable in order to keep costs down. If you have a Sony digicam, Sony PSP or any devices that uses a USB mini-A cable, it will work on the Memor32.

Beowulf....just finished reading about it in English class. Turned in a 6 page essay and got an 85. Went and saw the movie, as unfaithfully inaccurate it was. Safe to say I know a good bit about the Geat's history and who he is. But I know one thing, if he was ever an actual character, and if he was alive today, he would have one hell of a time tearing out the insides of whoever made this pathetically awful mockery of his "good" name. This game is a mess. Yet another pathetic attempt at producing a God of War clone, although this one is so bad, Kratos would kill himself for this game even being a CLONE of his. Thats for introduction, you'll see my reason soon...
The story begins where you are on a flaming(?) island with your apparent friend Barrack (ever heard of him? No? Me neither....) After spending ten or so minutes mercilessly beating up crabs with your fancy , button mashing 4 attack combo, you then arrive on an island to fight some sea monsters ( ). After "defeating" them you begin on your way to defeat a monster named Grendal for a King and his people. This soon sets a chain of events leading to Beowulf's kingship...and death.
Graphics don't look half bad...when you standing still. As soon as Beowulf starts moving, things become messy. To avoid wasting time for wording, I'll just say that the game soon looks like it was shoved up a horses ass then shot out through its mouth. Yes, its that bad. No need harping on what has already been quite nicely stated.
Sound is so bad, its funny. I can't even remember whether each level had music or not, and Beowulf's single grunt for every attack he does gave me a borderline migraine. It just doesn't work. Voice acting during cut scenes is, at best, only mediocre. Looking through the eyes of someone who would care, the lip sync is practically non-existent. Mass Effect this ain't.
Gameplay....wow.
That practically sums it up. But for the reader, I'll explain WHY its so freaking terrible. X button: Roll. Square: Punch. Triangle: Single, unchainable smash attack. Circle: Grab. Now this could even be moderately acceptable. But the makers of this game couldn't LET it be acceptable. The mechanism for attacks is so broken up, when trying to change directions during attack either never works, or when it does, spins you completely the wrong way. Not even a slight auto aim, and when the length of your weapon reaches barely past you face, that quickly becomes a problem.Blocking attacks does nothing. At best it'll make him take a small amount less damage, but still fly 12 meters northeast. Commanding your Thanes is an absolute needless and pointless feature. Your teamates suck, just like you; theres no point in sending a team of idiots to do one idiots job. Carnage mode is a mockery of power-modes such as Rage of the Gods. Yes, your invincible, but with no extra powers and still having the ability to be thrown from here to there with an enemy's pinky, its as worthless as they come.
Replay value for Beowulf...an oxymoron.
Overall:
Graphics: 2.5/5
These graphics don't even belong on a broken NDS. it is fun watching the background have a seizure every time you move, though.
Sound: 1.5/5
Terrible. I even feel bad for the people who had to MAKE the voiceovers.
Gameplay:1/5
Punch, punch, punch, get punted like a football. I am Beowulf.
Replay Value: 0.5/5
Haha, replay value....haha....
Overall:
I guess the basic point I'm trying to say it STAY AWAY. You'll be glad you did. Don't even get this if someone is willing to PAY you for taking it.
The MINIVIEW hath spoken!

Setting up the microSD is similar to that of all other slot-1 cartridges. Simply download the latest files and copy them to the root of your microSD. Once files are copied over, homebrew and games will need to be copied over. NDS games would go into /NDS in /SYSTEM. GBA games would go into /GBA in /SYSTEM. If you want to use cheats, they would go in the /SYSTEM directory.
When you boot up the M3 DS Real it automatically skips the Nintendo DS firmware's selection menu and brings you to M3's GM menu. The GM menu allows you to select from seven differenct animated icons such as Game, MyCard, PassCard, Media, PDA, Setting, GBA.
The Nintendo DS game selection screen is accessible by tapping on the Game icon. This will display a list of your Nintendo DS games located in the NDS directory on your microSD. The list shows the icon, name and size of the game. By pressing on "select" a menu pops up that allows you to restore your game save or back it up.
After selecting the game you want to play, a new menu will pop up. This menu will give allow you to choose your cheats, select soft-reset, slow motion and slow motion level. The next tab allows you to choose what cheats you want to enable and disable cheats.
The GBA game screen is similar to that of the NDS but the GBA screen shows the name of the game and file size but no icon is displayed. Pressing "select" also allows you to backup or restore your game save. After selecting your game, you will be given a menu to choose your cheats and enable Real Time Save (RTS). In order to play GBA games, you'll need to have the GBA Expansion Pack since the M3 DS Real will flash the game to the Expansion Pack. If you shut off the Nintendo DS and turn it back on and want to play that same game, you'll have to flash the game again to the GBA Expansion Pack. If you dont, the game will not be recognized.
MyCard allows you to choose NDS and GBA homebrew files and will launch from Slot-1 or flash to GBA expansion pack on Slot-2 respectively. Unlike your NDS/GBA games, they can not be in a folder. They have to be in the root of the microSD. The M3 DS Real automatically patch DLDI homebrew files.
When you select the Media icon, you will be brought to a Crystal Engine Multimedia Player. This is also featured on the G6 DS Real. For those that dont know, G6 and M3 are basically the same. The M3 uses microSD while the G6 has internal flash memory. The CEMP seems to be a modified version of Moonshell. They have dropped the normal .DPG format and are using a new format called .DSM. The CD that comes with the M3 DS Real, comes with a converter to convert you movies to a .DSM file. To play .DPG files, you'll need to use Moonshell. After a few tests, I still prefer .DPG over the new .DSM files as .DPG is better all around when it comes to sound, video and quality.
Conclusion : Overall, the M3 DS Real Cartridge SDHC SLOT-1 is a solid built product. Everything that was thrown at it such as games, homebrew, movies all played. But in regards to movies, its best to stay with the old .DPG format rather than the new .DSM format that they use for their player. It lacks the quality and sound that the .DPG possesses.
Depending on what you're looking for, M3 offers different options. Resellers sell the M3 DS Real either by itself or M3 DS Real with Rumble Pack or the "Perfect Bundle" which includes M3 DS Real, Rumble Pack and GBA expansion pak,

As we first posted in regards to Infectus' 13 wire install on a D2C Wii, they have now released the first installation picture of their ARGON modchip.
Here first HIGH RES picture of ARGON 13 wires installed on a D2C PAL WII!!!
Many customers are asking in these days if ARGON is or not compatible with US and JAP WII... well teorically it works without any problem on them, this because all consoles have the same DVD controller, BUT the 100% confirmation will arrive this weekend, when we can test two consoles that are in arrival from US and JAP.

Nyko will beat Nintendo to the punch with a wireless Nunchuck alternative. Set to make a public debut at CES next month, Nyko's Wireless Nunchuck will mirror most aspects of the first-party model but will finally cut the cord between the controllers.
Nyko's Wireless Nunchuck will employ 2.4-GHz wireless to communicate with a receiver module that jacks into the Wiimote's usual Nunchuck port. As the pictures suggest, power buttons on both the receiver and Wireless Nunchuck will turn the connection on and off.
In terms of gameplay, the Wireless Nunchuck should function just like the first-party option, as Nyko looks to be remaining true to Nintendo's general layout and button locations. Pricing and final release information will be announced at CES, so until then, enjoy these exclusive first pictures and start looking forward to even greater freedom in Wii gameplay.

Are you missing you ExciteBike gaming fix? DHG Games, an indie developer never got to release their GBA title Motocross Challenge, but now they have it available for download. All you need is a homebrew cart.
Originally planned as a commercial GBA release, Motocross Challenge had been in development for three years by relatively small indie developer DHG. In 2006 they signed the game to what they describe on their website as "a very big and international publisher that shall remain unnamed". After a further six months of solid work, the game was finally completed in February 2007 - yet while it was in final testing the publisher decided that the GBA market wouldn't support enough sales of a non-licensed game to make releasing it worthwhile. The project was thereafter cancelled, despite just needing to be written to a cartridge, stuck in a box and shipped to the shops.
As mentioned, in order to be able to play this game, you need a homebrew cart. If you have one already, all you need to do is download the file (below). If not, you can purchase them from any of these retailers: Divineo China, Divineo France, Divineo Germany, Divineo Italy, Divineo Spain, Divineo Sweden, Divineo UK, Divineo US, ConsoleSource, DealExtreme, MrModchips. You can download the title here.
Here is a video of the gameplay:

Joybox PlayStation Controller Adapter
Manufacturer: N/A
Site: Buy from Goldenshop
Price: $9.00
Overview : Use your most beloved PlayStation controller on your GameCube/Wii.
Features :- High quality 3rd party product.
- Convert the PSX/PSX2 controller to be used on the GameCube or Wii console.
- Supports rumble function.
- Supports all the buttons.
Quality/Usability : I know I'm probably not the one that enjoys and loves the way the PlayStation controller feels in our hands. Some may not like the feel of the GameCube controller whether it be design or button layout but now, there is an option to let you use your beloved PlayStation controller instead.
We tested the Joybox PlayStation Controller Adapter. Nothing fancy. Just a simple piece of adapter that plugs into the GameCube controller port and a female PlayStation adapter to plug your PlayStation controller. The best part about the Joybox is the compatibility with the PlayStation 2 controller. Yes, the Dual Shock feedback even works. Here is a layout of the buttons compared between the GameCube and PlayStation controllers:
GameCube---PlayStation
D-pad--------------D-pad
A--------------X
B--------------Square
Y--------------Triangle
X--------------Circle
Z--------------R1/L1
R--------------R2
L--------------L2
C-Stick--------------Right Analog
You wont be able to configure the button setups but I dont know why you would want to considering the PlayStation controller layout is almost the same as the GameCubes. For some games, the "Z" button on the GameCube is the R1 on the PlayStation but depending on the game, it can also be L1. So you get to use both R1 or L1.
Regarding the feedback, I noticed that for some games, it was strong as if I was playing a PlayStation game but with some, the rumble feedback wasnt as strong but you can still feel it.
Conclusion : Overall, the Joybox PlayStation Controller Adapter works well for those who want to play GameCube games with their PlayStation controllers. A nice feature is the ability to allow rumble feedback when using a Dual Shock controller. The price of $9 for this adapter is fairly cheap. The layout of the buttons is similar to that of the GameCube controller. If you dont have an extra GameCube controller for that extra multiplayer fun but have a PlayStation controller, this will come in handy.
