Quality/Usability : The Top Toy DS (TTDS) is a new slot-1 flashcart released by NeoFlash. They're known for other DS flashcarts as well as memory adapters for the PSP. The TTDS comes in a blister pack included with TTDS Flashcart, microSD USB reader and a mini-CD.
Each time a manufacturer releases a flashcart, it seems like these USB microSD readers get smaller and smaller each time. Not to mention, if you buy flashcarts regularly for whatever reason whether its for collecting, you'll have lots of them.
The mini-CD contains some drivers but to download the latest TTDS menu, you can download it here. Once downloaded, copy over the files to the root of the microSD. You can copy over your hombrew and games into any folder on the root of your microSD as well.
Upon booting up your Nintendo DS, TTDS automatically skips the Nintendo DS logo and brings you to the main menu of TTDS which displays all of your hombrew and games that you copied over to your microSD.
On the top left corner is a OPTIONS button. Here, you can choose the following options:- Enable Soft Reset: lets you enable or disable
- Passme Mode: boot slot-2 device into NDS mode
- GBA Mode: boot slot-2 device into GBA mode or boot inserted GBA game
- Power Off: turn off NDS
- Adjust Light: adjust brightness with four different settings
Back on the main menu, each game will show icon (if available), file name and size. Under each file name are additional icons.
- Image of CD with green arrow - Enables cheats and soft reset
- Image of key - Cheat codes have been selected
- Image of WiFi - WiFi/Download play game
- Image of power button - Soft reset has been enabled
- Image of [+] under File Size - Brings you back to options menu
For those who dont know, soft reset allows you to exit your game and it brings you to your file list of games. In order for soft reset to work, you must enable it and once its been enabled, simply push the following buttons simultaneously..."L+R+A+B+X+Y". If done correctly, you'll be take to your game list.
Cheat tab will take you to another menu where you can select which games you want to enable cheats for. Cheats will be listed for those you've selected and it will list cheats for all regions. Choose the correct region of your game.
These flashcart manufacturers pretty much has NDS games performance down pact. All the NDS games I have loaded, booted up perfectly without a problem. Load time was quick as well. Download play was iffy a couple months back but now, these manufacturers have no problem and games run perfectly.
Whats great about these flashcarts is the ability to play homebrew games. Homebrew games are applications made by amateur developers. There are applications such as games, PDF applications, calculators, music/video players and many more. These are stuff that normal developers/publishers wouldnt release but are useful to average gamers.
TTDS supports automatic DLDI patching. DLDI allows people to patch homebrew files in order for it to work on a flashcart. It is pretty much found on all newly released flashcarts as it is a standard feature. Without DLDI patching, homebrew would not work on certain cards and developers would need to release different versions of their app to work specifically with that flashcart. DLDI will do all the work.
Conclusion : Overall, the NeoFlash Top Toy DS TTDS is another flashcart on the market. It supports the new microSD SDHC flawlessly. What is nice about the TTDS is that it can also load R4DS game saves and cheats. TTDS works great but like all other NeoFlash flashcarts, the menu and OS isnt the prettiest of them all. But so as long it does the job well...who cares?
Please note that none of the "upgrade" products listed in this site are endorsed by Nintendo, Sony and/or Microsoft. DCEmu Reviews and DCEmu Network does not condone piracy. The primary functions of a "modchip" and/or "flashcart" are to allow you to play imported games and homebrew software that you legally own or simply just for experimenting with hardware. We in no way endorse piracy, and encourage all users to do the right thing and support the developers/manufacturers that support them. We do not take any responsibilities for any use outside of these parameters or where the use of such a device is illegal.

PSP RPGs are here and there, they're everywhere they're up the stairs and behind the chairs. Yes, i did make that off the top of my head as I went but the point stands that there is an abnormal amount of sh**ty PSP RPGs out there. And then there are some good ones. Then there are some o.k. ones. Yadda yadda. Breath of Fire III seems like your average RPG, turn based, plot, stuffzes that make it an RPG...you know how it is. So lemme get to the review before you jump to conclusions....
You start out as a dragon (huh?) that ends up being found, abandoned as a human child, found by a duo named Rei and Teepo, 2 juvenile thieves. You soon become family, and have a time together...until two assassins named Balio and Sunder attack you and your family, who presumably kill Rei and Teepo after you black out. You soon set out to try and find them, in the way learning of your origins as a half-dragon, half-human race, and the most powerful in existence. Along you way you befriend a princess, a guardian, a wacko scientist, and a list oft friends as you journey to find out just what happened to you and you dragon race.
Graphics are sprites. But they are some darn fine looking sprites. However, for the first part of the game, the main character's sprite doesn't look much like the character himself, so it really doesn't matter. backgrounds are full 3D, however, and look pretty nice, not terrible and not stunning. They're just what they need to be.
Now for a turn based RPG (which I used to hate, btw) this one is pretty deep. Physical attacks, magical attacks, over 100 spells, weapons, armor, secondary armor, rings, quite a lot of stuff you can customize your characters with. but theres different strategies that you have to employ in every different battle, as all enemies have resistance, weaknesses, abilities, stats, all that may seem normal for RPGs, but Breath of Fire forces the player to take each one of these factors into consideration, as your normal strategy will almost never work all the time later on in the game. Each character that joins you, too will have they're owns abilities you must factor in. You may find yourself frustrated at times, but I'm just a really impatient person myself. But boy, playing as dragon Ryu sure is fun!
Sound is fine, at least for what it is. It wouldn't have killed them to add some voice acting to the scenes, though would it? Music is so-so, and the battle cries are still in Japanese. Eh....
Replay value...well, its standard for an RPG. You should get a good 30 hours of gameplay, but theres little to do except collect items and dragon genes after your done.
Graphics: 3.5/5
Great sprites, decent battle animations. Nothing special, but their fine for what they are.
Sound: 2.5/5
Everything works, but it still would've been nice to have seen some voice acting.
Gameplay: 3.5/5
Pretty nice and deep for a turn-based RPG. Multiple strategies for enemies, all which must be utilized to the best of your characters abilities. Unfortunately, you have to guess the strategy for many opponents.
Presentation: 4.5/5
An interesting storyline through the whole experience will keep you coming for more. Combat is easy to learn as well.
Replay value: 3/5
Like I said, a good 25-30 hours of gameplay, but after that, your done.
Overall:
it was tough debating whether it'd be a 8, 7.5, or an 7...but its age is starting to show. Still, if you want a mix between old school and new age RPG that still is pretty fun, look no further.

XCM XFPS Sniper
Manufacturer: XCM
Site: Buy from Goldenshop
Price: $79-89.99
Overview : The ultimate way to utilize a keyboard and mouse on your Xbox 360 console just got even better! XCM has lisented to customer feedback and have produced the Sniper Edition XFPS 360 console which allows for total keyboard and mouse control on the Xbox 360, which results in a vastly improved gameplay experience on top selling titles such as Halo 3 and BioShock. The Sniper also supports the use of Playstation controllers on the Xbox 360 and this simply could not have come at a better time with the release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. XCM are sure that this latest build is the gateway to perfect keyboard and mouse play and promises greater sensitivity, greater smoothness and greater sniper like precision.
The XFPS 360 is an innovative keyboard and mouse adapter for the Xbox 360 which begins an unrivalled First Person Shooter (FPS) experience to the next-generation gaming console. Not only is the XFPS 360 compatible with all standard PS/2 input devices but also modern USB keyboards and mice. But wait, there's more! The XFPS 360 even makes traditional PS2 DualShock2 controllers compatible on the Xbox 360, as well as a plethora of peripherals. This exquiste device even manages to bring auto fire functionality to the Xbox 360, now that tops off what promises to be the must have peripheral for years to come!
Features :- Compatible with most PS/2 or USB keyboard and mouse combinations, those expensive FPS set-ups have not gone to waste!
- Instant plug and play technology
- Ideal for use with all FPS titles such as Call of Duty and Halo series
- Highly durable modern ‘black’ coloured shell
- Brings all new auto fire functionality to the Xbox 360
- Allows gamers to use PS2’s Dual-Shock 2™ controller on the Xbox 360 ™
- Enjoy enhanced performance on titles such as Pro Evolution Soccer 6, which originally debuted on the Playstation™.
XFPS 360 is also compatible with:- PS 2 Light Gun
- PS 2 Racing Wheel - The XBOX 360 steering controller is very expensive, but you can use the PS 2 steering wheel for it now
- PS 2 Dancing mat
- PS 2 Guitar
etc.
Quality/Usability : As we have already reviewed the original XCM XFPS 360 and XCM XFPS 360 PRO, this review will just talk about the new feature that was added to the 3.0 Sniper Edition.
The 3.0 Sniper Edition is nothing more than just a slight improvement and color change from the XFPS 360 PRO version. Instead of white with black dials, its lime green with white dials. Design is the same exact thing with no change except for what was mentioned above. The only difference is the slight improvement to deadzones on the XFPS.
With the XFPS PRO, I used an adapter called SmartJoy Frag that was made for the PS2. This helped eliminate majority of the deadzones. But to get this adapter to work, you needed to modify it so that it would output enough power to power your keyboard and mouse.
The 3.0 Sniper Edition tried to incorporate both the XFPS PRO and features of the SmartJoy Frag. The Sniper Edition did a good job of removing any deadzones but at a price. Below is a video of the 3.0 Sniper Edition in action.
The same mouses and keyboards that worked on the XCM XFPS 360 PRO will also work on the Sniper Edition. You can view the list of recommended mouses at XCM's site.
Conclusion : Overall, the XFPS 360 3.0 Sniper removed deadzones that were on the XFPS PRO. There was not other improvements as it looked the same like its predecessor just a minor upgrade in color. Different people will have different buying opinions. Some prefer to get rid of the old and buy the latest upgrade while some prefer to keep the old and look for a way to improve or people will just complain. XCM should look into releasing an adapter like the SmartJoy Frag for those who purchased previous versions instead of releasing a slightly upgraded version and charging $80-90. Not only will early adopters lose money if resold but they have to shell out more money for the new upgrade.

- Store and charge all your controllers in one place
- Conveniently place in any home entertainment center

- Compact design

Quality/Usability : To charge your SIXAXIS controllers, you have to plug them into a USB port whether it be on your computer or PlayStation3. But in order to charge, there needs to be power and you have to have your computer or PS3 turned on.
With the Charge Base, it doesnt need to plug into a USB port. It actually plugs in to the wall outlet. So you can charge your controllers anytime you want. To charge up to four SIXAXIS controllers simultaneously, simply insert your controllers on to the mini USB ports on the Charge Station and it will automatically charge your controllers. On the top of the Charge Station are four LEDs. These LEDs will let you know when the controllers are being charged. Red means it is currently charging and green for when it is ready.
Charging takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge your SIXAXIS.
Conclusion : Overall, the Nyko Charge Base PS3 is a convenient charger. It doesnt require any USB ports or cables and can charge up to four controllers at a time. Charge time is about 2 hours to fully charge. But if you dont have four controllers, you have two empty, useless spots.
Nyko has released a new Charge Base for those who only only two SIXAXIS controllers. They have released a Charge Base 2. Instead of four controller ports, it has two.

Madcatz will be releasing a HDMI Conversion Kit for original 1st generation Xbox 360's without the HDMI port. Its simply a plug-n-play adapter. Madcatz states that it is able to output up to 1080p. The kit also includes HDMI cable and optical cable. Downside to this is that there is no RCA audio jacks (red/white). So if you dont have a digital receiver or optical port on your TV, you wont be able to get sound.
Click on image to see PDF
The Madcatz HDMI Conversion Kit will retail for $89.99 and will be available early next year.
Need one now and/or need one with RCA audio jacks? XCM White 360 HDMI 1080i Cable is cheaper and available now.

Divineo UK is now carrying three new Datel products. These products help assist gamers with either turning their battery into a tool, taking a battery and servicing a PSP or an expandable memory card adapter. Of these, two of the three can be found for free online and only requires your time and reading. Do you know which ones are they?
Simply press a button and turn any genuine Sony 1200mAh, 1800mAh or 2200 mAh battery into a Tool Mode Battery.
No programming or modifications - its safe and reliable.
Switch between Tool and Standard mode in seconds
Powered directly from PSP/Slim battery
Works with PSP, PSP Slim and PSP Lite batteries Honestly, this is for those none knowledged, lazy PSP owners. Its priced at £13.95 but with a little searching and reading from hundreds of tutorials on the web or even from the help of easy installers from fellow PSP gamers, you can do this for free. All it requires is a bit of your time for searching and reading.
Simply snap-in Hot Wire and boot your PSP/Slim into "Service Mode"
Ideal for custom firmwares homebrew applications
Includes 3 AAA Batteries This is priced at £12.95. This may be useful to those who dont want to modify their original battery or have to go through the trouble of swapping from service mode to original every time. But you're not really helping the PSP community or the scene. You're only helping companies who take advantage of hard work of people dedicated to the scene. So if you want to make your own Pandora Battery..I mean tool, just do a search in the PSP forums or even on the web and you'll find hundreds if not thousands of useful tutorials, guides and information from gamers like yourself!
MAX Expandable Memory boasts 1GB of onboard memory and an expansion slot so you can slip in a MicroSD card, expanding its capacity to up to 8GB! Just the thing for your PSP or other Sony peripheral...
Best of all, MAX Expandable Memory also offers an expansion slot so you can slip in a MicroSD card, expanding its capacity to up to 8GB! It's easy - just slot your MicroSD card into your MAX Expandable Memory card, and you've even more memory at your disposal. As MicroSD cards are far cheaper than Memory Sticks, you can grab lots more gigabytes for your money! It's convenient too. You can store your music on one MicroSD card and a movie or two on another, swapping them over as you see fit. Just the thing for your annual holiday or on a long journeyand
As well as a great memory storage product, MAX Expandable Memory also includes MAX Media Manager for PSP, a PC application which puts your hot handheld at the heart of your digital lifestyle. Just drop your movie onto the Media Manager application, and it takes care of everything, converting it into a format the PSP can play back and copying it to your memory card.
MAX Media Manager for PSP is compatible with the Sony PSP and the new PSP Slimline, and some other Sony products. MicroSD cards are sold separately, and are available in all good stores.
Datel is a little late with this adapter as Kingmax has released their own awhile back but it didnt include a 1GB microSD. This is priced at £14.95. This I can see as a justified purchase but the other two products, NO.

Memor32 USB Memory Card (PS2)
Manufacturer: Memor32
Site: Buy from ConsoleSource
Price: $69.95
Overview : The PS2 is certainly no stranger to a continuous flow of great games which is why every hardcore gamer will adore the Memor32. Featuring a unique USB based design, the Memor32 is an advanced memory card for use on any PS2 and PSTwo systems around the world. Unlike standard memory cards, the Memor32 will allow gamers to load and unload save games to and from the PC for use with the PS2. It’s compatibility is up there with the best, with over 1500 games tested and working perfectly.
Features :- 100% MagicGate compatible powerful 32MB memory card
- Compatible with all PS2 and PSTwo systems worldwide
- Integrated USB connector
- Load and unload saves games to and from the PC for use with the console via software
- Unrivalled compatibility, over 1500 games tested and save compatible
- Perfectly plug and play device
- Two years in development
Quality/Usability : I admit that I usually dont completely unlock all the contents of the game. Then again, after I play the game, I stop playing it and move onto the next game and the game just sits there for months before its traded or sold. But there are also games that require updated rosters that you wouldnt be able to get elsewhere such as baseball, football, basketball, etc. Who wants to sit there and manually update the rosters when you can be playing the game?
Memor32 has released a USB memory card for the PlayStation 2. It does everything a normal PS2 memory card would do such as load and save game saves. What makes the Memor32 different is that it connects to your PC via USB port on the side of the Memor32. The only thing that I can think of off the top of my head that was similar to this was the SharkPort which was also known as X-Port.
The Memor32 was tested with the latest (at time of this review) Save Game Manager (SGM) v1.3. Save Game Manager allowed you to transfer downloaded game saves from your PC to the Memor32. Team Memor32 is greatly improving SGM each time there is an update. The first release was just to show that it was legit and that more was to come. 1.1 activated the IMPORT and EXPORT functions. 1.2 added the .max extension support. 1.3 added Windows Vista support but .max extension game saves was not available at time of review.
Setup is very very easy. First and foremost, format the Memor32 on your PS2. Once its formatted, download their latest Save Game Manager and driver file. Once the files are downloaded, extract and install SGM. You'll need a USB cable to connect the Memor32 to your PC. The same cable used for the PSP or digital camera will work fine. Unfortunately, Team Memor32 does not include a USB cable in order to keep costs down. However, some retailers may include a USB cable. Connect the Memor32 to your PC and Windows will recognize the Memor32 as a USB Serial Port. It may ask to search from drivers but DO NOT let Windows download it from the internet. Instead, remember that driver download I posted above, extract it and direct Windows to search for driver in that folder. It may require you to search for drivers twice so direct it to that folder.
Upon starting up Save Game Manager, the user interface is clean and straight to the point. The left window shows what files are on the Memor32 and the right window shows your computer. In between the two windows are 5 buttons:
- BACKUP - transfer game saves from memory card to PC
- RESTORE - transfer game saves from PC to memory card
- DELETE - delete game save
- IMPORT - load game saves from PC
- EXPORT - export game saves to PC
The bottom half shows different things. The bottom right displays Memor32 status. It lets you know if the Memor32 is connected or disconnected. It also tells how much space is available on the Memor32. Underneath is a button ERASE MEMOR32. This deletes everything on the Memor32 at once. The left side displays the Save game information such as file name, size, when it was created and modified and icon of game if available.
Every time a game save is transferred whether it be to the Memor32 or to the PC, a status bar is shown at the bottom. It does not take long to transfer game saves.
Conclusion : Overall, the Memor32 USB Memory Card (PS2) is a very useful accessory for the PlayStation 2. Unfortunately, its 2 years too late. The PlayStation 2 is on its last legs as publishers and developers are focusing on the new next gen consoles such as the Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation3. But this wont stop anyone whether or not you have beaten a game or dont even own any of the new systems. The Memor32 is great for updated sports roster or for those who like to cheat in a game or just to play through it with everything unlocked once they have beaten it...with no cheats of course. Price whoever is a bit pricey especially with no USB cable included. If this was $40USD or so, this would be the sweet spot for PS2 gamers.
People are wondering, wheres the Memento hack review? It will come shortly and I will update this review. But my review is based mainly on the Memor32 USB Memory Card itself.

As we reported, Nyko has announced and will be releasing a light gun attachment of their own called, Perfect Shot. It seems that another company has the same exact design minus the logo and slight color change. This comes from Codejunkies, the same company that released the hated PSP MAX Power TOOL that blatantly ripped off the Pandora Battery and making money off of the hard earned work of our beloved PSP hackers.
Datel’s Wii Pistol is the ideal add-on for classic blasters such as Resident Evil 4 and Chicken Shoot. Playing titles such as these with an unadorned Wiimote just isn’t the same. It doesn’t feel like you have a gun in your hand, so when you’re taking out a horde of foetid zombies or bagging your supper down on the farm, some of the intense in-the-game atmosphere is lost. Fear not – with our sturdy, yet inexpensive add-on for the Wiimote, you can feel every inch like the pistol-packin’ hero of the game!
Wii Pistol is simple to use. Just clip your Wiimote into the sturdy yet lightweight plastic casing, and you’re away. The pistol’s trigger activates the Wiimote’s ‘B’ button, and you can still reach all the topside controls should you need them. It’s comfortable in the hand, feels solid without being bulky and is sturdy enough to take the knocks as you blast your way through the game. If lightgun-style gaming is your thing, you should never be without one!
(Wiimote not included)
Features
* Sturdy yet lightweight.
* At last your Wiimote feels like a gun.
* Comfortable, ergonomic design.
* Allows access to all Wiimote’s controls.
The only difference I see physically between the Perfect Shot by Nyko and the clone, Wii Pistol from Codejunkies/Datel is the missing logo, different colored trigger and the clasp on the top of the gun that holds the Wiimote in place. Here is a shot of the Perfect Shot... (more images via link above)
*UPDATE*
Hmmm...it seems Codejunkies has removed the product from their website. What could this mean?

I've not really seen any hardware reviews of DS Flashcards.
So lets address that situation:
DSX TOPSIDE
22307
DSX UNDERSIDE
22308
CHIPSETS:
MEMORY: Hynix HY27UF084G2M 4Gbit (512Mx8bit) NAND Flash
DATASHEET: http://www.hynix.com/datasheet/pdf/f...s(Rev.0.7).pdf
FPGA: Actel ProASIC3 A3P250
DATASHEET: http://www.actel.com/documents/PA3_Auto_DS.pdf
USB NAND FLASH Controller: Cypress CY7C68033-56LFXC
DATASHEET: http://download.cypress.com.edgesuit...y7c68033_8.pdf
?: 3335A (maybe a part of the clock circuit)
?: 85AD
MODDING:
You download some flash tools from the Cypress site if you are feeling adventurous.
To get the tools to work you will need to force the DSX USB chip to boot into manufacturing mode.
This can be achieved by two methods.
1) Boot your PC with the DSX connected to the PC's USB .
2)Insert the DSX into the USB port whilst shorting out the reset jumpers (located under the DSX cartridge label).
22306
Once in manufacturing mode you will need to install the usb drivers supplied with the Cypress tool (the pc will prompt for drivers).
You can use the DSX update tool if you screw up the firmware.
!!!Please dont mess with the firmware if you are not a well seasoned programmer, as I guarantee you will BRICK IT!!!!
HOMEBREW SUPPORT:
Dont expect any technical support from the DSX forums. I got banned just for trying to start a thread exploring the DSX hardware!!!!
Ironic when you consider this technology is based on reverse engineering!!
Hope the information has been interesting. I would love to see some threads exploring Under The Hood of the other flash cards out there.
R....
