XCM Cross Fire Converter
Manufacturer: XCM
Site: Buy from Play-Asia / Buy from ConsoleSource / Buy from GoldenShop / Buy from Amazon.com
Price: $79.99
Overview : The XCM Cross Fire adapter lets you connect your PS3 controller to your Xbox 360 console. With built in rapid fire / turbo and tilt functions this adapter is the ultimate in Xbox 360 accessories. This adapter is also compatible with the Xbox 360 and Original Xbox wired controllers for added Rapid Fire / Turbo functionality.
Features:- Use your Playstation 3 controller on your Xbox 360 console.
- Enables Rapid Fire / Turbo on Wired Xbox 360 and Original Xbox controllers when connected to your Xbox 360 console.
- Supports 2 stick analog tilt functionality of the PS3 controller on the Xbox 360.
- User controller Rapid Fire / Turbo firing rates (High Speed (30 Shots per second) , Medium Speed (10 shots per second) and Off )
* Must be used in conjunction with a Wired Xbox 360 controller.
Quality/Usability : The one adapter that we did not review is probably the most popular product as well. How can we miss such a product? Well here is the review all have been waiting for (if you've been holding out and haven't picked it up yet).
The XCM Cross Fire Converter allows you to connect a PS3 controller to your Xbox 360. If you're looking to connect a Xbox 360 controller to your PS3, you're reading the wrong review. You'll need the XCM Cross Battle Adapter. Now back to the PS3 controller on Xbox 360. Not only does the XCM Cross Fire Converter let you use PS3 controller on Xbox 360, you can also connect Xbox1, or Xbox360 wired controller. It also comes complete with turbo fire functions for all buttons and tilt option for SixAxis tilt functionality. In order to activate the XCM Cross Fire Converter, you need to have wired controller. Without this, you can't use the adapter. People also ask why you need a wired controller and a Charge Kit does not work. The reason for this is because the converter XCM borrows the "signature" from the controller of themselves. A wired controller and wireless controller both have different "signatures" and the only one that would work is from a wired controller. Unfortunately, the wired Xbox 360 controller becomes unusable as a second, third and fourth player on your console as long as the XCM Converter is plugged in with a controller connected to it. Since the Converter borrowed the controllers signature, the wired controller becomes unusable. However, this is only temporary.
To set up the Cross Fire Converter:- Turn on Xbox 360.
- Plug in XCM Cross Fire Converter into Xbox 360 USB port and the XCM logo will blink.
- Plug Xbox 360 controller into XCM Cross Fire Converter and the XCM logo will stop blinking.
- Once the LED is steady, you can either leave the Xbox 360 controller in and take advantage of the rapid fire feature or unplug the 360 controller and plug in either you PS3 controller using USB cable or Original Xbox controller into the Cross Fire Converter.
Depending on the controller you have plugged in, the LED will change colors. Green for Xbox 360 controller, Red for original Xbox controller and Blue for PS3 controller. Unfortunately, if you're using a PS3 controller or original Xbox controller and you want to chat against people, you'll need a wireless Xbox 360 headset.
PlayStation3 Controller:
As stated above, when you plug in the PS3 controller using a USB cable, the XCM logo turns blue. On the Cross Fire Converter, there is a switch to turn on SixAxis tilt functionality. The switch has three settings: L, R and N. The L setting will allow the SixAxis to mimic the left analog stick. R for mimicing the right analog stick and N for no tilt functionality. There were no lag or delay in button presses and the rapid fire worked flawlessly. The tilt functionality worked as it should however I wouldnt use it. It only mimics one analog stick and you would have to press the other analog.
Original Xbox Controller:
I personally see no point in plugging an Original Xbox controller.
Conclusion : Overall, the XCM Cross Fire Converter worked great! However, there were some key features missing such as being able to remap buttons. I personally would of removed the tilt functionality all together and given the ability to remap buttons to my likings. Like all XCM controller adapters, a wired controller is needed in order to activate the adapter. Any Xbox 360 wired controller will work whether its Official Microsoft Xbox 360 controller or a 3rd party controller such as GameStop, Nyko, MadCatz, etc. I wouldnt spend full retail so if you can get a controller second hand whether it be from a game store, game trading sites or eBay, go for it.
If you have both a PS3 console and Xbox 360 console, you'll have to buy an adapter for each console...XCM Cross Fire Converter for Xbox 360 and XCM Cross Battle Adapter for PlayStation 3.

With E3 2010 ending and many new products and games announced, the biggest announcement made didnt get a price. Kinect's price question isn't likely to come anytime soon...from Microsoft, at least. A range of retailers have now updated their online databases to reflect a $149.99 price point for the Xbox 360 add-on. GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Target are all under the impression that the device will check in at $150 when it arrives this November.
The question is, would you shell out $150 for the Kinect which is half the price of what a Xbox 360 console costs?
What do you think is a reasonable price for the Kinect?

As we previously posted, Interworks and HKS are teaming up to co-develop a racing controller.
Button layouts have been moved around. The D-pad is now replaced with a thumb steering wheel used for left and right steering and the d-pad moved is now located where the right analog stick used to be. The typical controller buttons have been replaced with mini version of brake and gas pedals.
This will be released sometime this year for approximately $50.
Neat and unique controller. I want to know if it really helps improve your racing skills and how comfortable it will feel in the hands.

Platform: PC
Developer: Runewaker Entertainment
Publisher: Frogster Interactive
Ratings:
PEGI:
ESRB:
Runes of Magic is a free to play MMORPG developed by Runewaker Entertainment, a Taiwanese company but is localised for Europe by Frogster Interactive.
Despite being only a little over a year old the game is already on its third major patch, called chapters, which add to the game and the story.
The game at first glance is a World of Warcraft clone, but to leave it at that misses the point. Yes the UI and gameplay are very similar to WoW, but Runes of Magic doesn't just leave it at that, instead it takes this foundation and builds upon it, adding features and mechanics that WoW would benefit from.
Since it is similar to WoW, anyone who has played Warcraft will find Runes of Magic very familiar. The UI and control scheme will be a natural fit to you. Map in the top right? Check. Customisable action bars? Check. Symbols hovering over quest givers? Check. Crafting system? Double check.
The execution of the game however is where the differences come in and where Runes of Magic shines.
When creating your character you get to pick from 8 classes. Most of these will be familiar to you, Warrior, Druid, Rogue etc. With a few unusual ones such as Scout and Warden.
The first big difference comes when you reach level 10. At level 10 your character can choose a second class to enhance your first. So if your first class is Knight and your second class Warrior you will be a Knight (level 10)/Warrior (level 1).
If you are a Knight, you will have two sets of skills: Knight Skills and Knight Class-specific skills.
Holy Strike is a Knight skill. All Knights have it and all classes who choose Knight as a secondary class have it.
Holy Seal is a Knight class-specific skill. Only those with Knight as their primary class may use it.
You can swap between your primary and secondary classes, this is actually required as you need to level both classes to max to access both sets of skills. So if the Knight/Warrior swaps his classes, he will become a Warrior/Knight gaining access to the Warrior class-specific skills but losing access to his Knight class-specific
Improving skills can be done also by using talent points, these points you spend on a per-skill basis to increase the level of your chosen skill. These talent points cannot be revoked or undone so you need to choose carefully what you improve.
The crafting system is also very different from most MMO's. While in most MMO's you may only learn a few professions, Runes of Magic lets you learn all of them, but you're limited in how many you can specialise in. At level 1 you can be an apprentice Woodcutter, Miner, and Herbalist as well as a Tailor, Alchemist and Blacksmith. This is both good and bad. It's great because it means you can explore the various professions without locking yourself into a few. It's also good to get some starting cash as you can sell the lower level herbs and ore to other players. However to a new player this can be overwhelming as there's too much choice at too low a level.
Runes of Magic's User Interface has a few improvements over other MMO's. When logging into the game, when you click in the password input box an on-screen keyboard will appear in a random location on your monitor. This is here to combat account stealing, as it is much more difficult for a keylogger to trace your password when it is clicked in on a random location on your screen.
Inside the game there is also an automatic movement option. By enabling this your character will automatically move to where you want them to go. Every quest has this option to let you auto-run to the quest giver or quest receiver. This drastically cuts down on the running around to find one guy that plagues a lot of MMO's.
As a free MMO they need to make money somehow, as with most Free MMO's Rune of Magic uses a Real Money Transaction (RMT) system. This allows you to purchase, with real life cash, items to enhance your characters, as well as mounts and pets for vanity purposes. Thankfully these items are mostly for player convenience not player power. This means they offer items like luck potions which increase the chance of better drops, or items which reduce or negate the experience penalty from dying. There are a few player power items in jewels which increase the power of an existing item, but it seems like you can get these outside the store albeit they are less reliable.
Despite that these items are player convenience not power it seems like a lot of the game is intentionally inconvenient to encourage you to purchase. Skill potions that increase your talent point gain, skill reset tokens to reset all your talent points, this being the only method to reset your talents are a couple of them. The ones that seem to be mostly required are those which reduce or prevent death penalty or that repair your gear when used.
Graphics – Similar to World of Warcrafts, a fantasy slightly cartoonish look that is pleasant to look at. It all fits together nicely.
Sound – Excellent. The composition on the orchestral score is fantastic. The songs will get in your head and you'll find yourself humming them for hours.
Gameplay – Very natural UI and controls, the game's learning curve is a bit too steep for a new player, even an experienced MMO player will find themselves confused at the options.
This is a good Free to play MMO. Definitely one of the better quality ones out there. If you want to just play, level classes and have fun, this will provide in spades. If you want to seriously play and see all the content, this has that too, but expect to put down some cold hard cash.

Features :- Play your games in a whole new way with Tilt FX™.
- It’s so simple – plug in the Tilt FX™ sensor and start the game.
- Tilt FX™ sensor features a 3axis high resolution MEMS
- Accelerometer and Microprocessor
- Works on PSP 1000/2000/3000
Pack includes:
- Tilt FX™ G sensor
- Set-up CD
Quality/Usability : If you're using a PSP with CFW (Custom Firmware), this will NOT work! You can stop reading from this point but can read any of our other great reviews.
To get this running on a virgin PSP running OFW (Official Firmware), install the Tilt FX software CD onto your computer. Connect PSP to computer via USB cable and install PSP software. Register your PSP using the license key. Insert the Tilt FX to the bottom of the PSP where the headphone port is located and a game disc into the UMD tray. Once Tilt FX is installed and game disc is loaded, navigate to Tilt FX and start it from the memory stick. Once Tilt FX is loaded, select a game profile or a generic profile by simply tilting the PSP left or right.
After I reverted back to OFW from my M33 firmware and done a clean reboot using Pandora Battery as well as updating via network, the Tilt FX worked as it was intended to. I was able to control the motion of my vehicle or character by simply tilting the PSP.
To boot up the menu settings while in a game, hold down the 'R' bumper and press HOME button. From here, you can choose the sensitivity, calibrations and invert options.
Also, after you have loaded Tilt FX application, you can change orientation of games by pressing on the SQUARE button and the view is now vertical. Press the SQUARE button again and its back to horizontal.
For those on a PSP-3000 or PSP-2000 with TA-088v3 motherboard, I believe there is a GEN-C via HEN? I've been out of the loop in the custom firmware scene so I dont know what is out there anymore. (*NOTE: I nor DCEmu condone piracy).
But from what I have read on the web, a 5.03 GEN-C will not work if installed but if you restart to 5.03 OFW and run the Tilt FX application, the PSP will hang after the Tilt FX profile is chosen. But even that will not work. You will need to restore the original 'version.txt' file by starting GEN- C with the 'L' bumper button pressed. This will than make the Tilt FX work on 5.03 OFW as it there was no CFW ever installed. To return back to a fully working GEN-C, you will need to start GEN-C and hold the 'L' bumper button and reinstall GEN (replace version.txt). This is a hassle if you want to use the Tilt FX but when you're done and want to play homebrew, you have to change the files. A price you have to pay if you want motion control and homebrew.
Not being able to work with custom firmwares, homebrew coders can not take advantage of this neat device.
Balance Games
Tilt FX Menu
Racing Game
Pinball Game
Conclusion : Overall, the Tilt FX Motion Sensing Control worked as it should ONLY if you were using official firmware. It occupies the headphone jack so you can't use headphones anymore. It does not work with custom firmware, you have to register your PSP and if you sell the Tilt FX, you cant transfer the licensing key. The licensing key is good for only one PSP. There is just too many drawbacks on using it and when did accessories come with a licensing key and why would there be one for this?! It worked great on racing games, Loco Roco, Super Monkey Balls and many others.
I dont see this working on a custom firmware anytime soon as Datel would need approval and coding from Sony.
Also, Tilt FX does not work with the PSP Go!

Nyko Announces Product Lineup for E3 2010, “Moves” into New PS3 Territory
LOS ANGELES - June 14, 2010
Leading gaming peripherals manufacturer Nyko Technologies® today announced the upcoming product line-up to be showcased this week at the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), taking place June 15–17 in Los Angeles. The line-up includes a variety of innovative new accessories for the Sony PlayStation 3. From bold new controllers to charging solutions for the upcoming PlayStation Move, Nyko continues their tradition of innovation and affordable, high quality design.
“Nyko has been a participant in E3 for 11 straight years and we’re excited to be using the show as the launching pad for our 2010 products,” said Chris Arbogast, director of marketing at Nyko Technologies. “Sony had a banner year with the PlayStation 3, and we’ve developed a line of products that complement and enhance this console's gaming experience.”
Raven for Sony PlayStation 3
The Raven, Nyko’s premium controller for PS3, features Multi-Axis Technology for full motion support. It comes in two configurations – the Raven Standard Configuration laid out identically to Sony’s controller, and will be instantly familiar to PS3 gamers. In response to player demand, the Raven Alternate Configuration swaps the position of the left analog stick and directional pad, giving gamers the first-ever ergonomic alternative to Sony’s layout. As the majority of modern games rely on the analog joystick, this is a great option for players seeking a more comfortable controller for gaming sessions.
Charge Station and Charge Station Quad for Move
Easily store and charge both the Move Motion controller and the Move Navigation controller at once. Or, with the 4-Port Charge Station, keep 2 sets of Move Motion controllers and 2 Move Navigation controllers ready for instant action. The convenient drop-and-charge design recharges the internal batteries in the Move controllers, while AC power allows for faster charging with no messy cables back to the console. LED Charge Indicator lights display the charge status, and both units sport a sleek design that will look great near your PS3.
