Less is more: The brand-new XL+ Wii accessory series and their own web shop take off
Boundless play
The new snakebyte XL+ series turns the classic accessory concept upside down. While the classic accessories are built to complement existing features with hardware additives, snakebyte Europe, famous for qualitative and innovative accessories for consoles, handhelds and PC, now turns the tables. Instead of complementing the Wii Remote with attachments, snakebyte implements the attachment! With other words: Wii Motion Plus is built right into the new Remote XL+. Without any construction, no new silicon cases, just activate the remote and get started. But with the integration of Motion Plus the innovation isn’t at its end: integrated batteries, which can be charged directly via USB, are also included in the “all-around carefree package”. An external Sync-button makes sure that the Wii Remote does not have to be dismantled to be able to sign in. - Wireless Remote XL+ Controller for use with Nintendo Wii
- Enjoy the most intuitive motion sensing gameplay ever
- MOTION PLUS integrated, no additional purchase required (e.g. for Wii Sports Resort)
- Use up to 4 units simultaneously for maximum multi-player fun
- Super sleek and elegant design
- Integrated speaker for realistic positional audio effects
- Built-in memory to save settings and avatars
- Strong vibration effects
- Rechargeable Ni-MH batteries and USB charging cable included
- External SYNC button for convenient synchronisation with the console
The Remote XL+ will be available commercially from the 15th January 2010 for a price of 49.99€ (RRP).
We also have a solution for the ones who already have a Wii Remote and just want to upgrade it, true to the motto “less is more”. The Motion XL+ is a wireless Nunchuck. Therefore any cable connection to the Wii remote is dropped. The new freedom is furthermore complemented by the Motion Plus feature which is integrated in the receiver. So whoever is on the search for a wireless Nunchuck, will simply get an additional Motion Plus without having to purchase it additively. - Motion XL+ Controller extension for the snakebyte Remote XS Controller or for use with the Wii Remote
- MOTION PLUS integrated, no additional purchase required (e.g. for Wii Sports Resort)
- Wireless connection to the main controller (available separately)
- State-of-the-art 2.4 GHz wireless technology, virtually lag-free
- No interference: up to four Wireless Motion XL+ Controllers can be used simultaneously in multiplayer matches
- 100% compatible with all games that support the original Nunchuk
- External On/Off and synchronisation buttons
- Two rechargeable Ni-MH batteries as well as USB charging cable included in delivery, the controller can be charged using any USB port
The Motion XL+ will be available commercially from the 15th January 2010 for a price of 29.99€ (RRP).
The simplicity of charging
To enable a related accessory system, the way of charging the batteries has been newly conceived: The Flux Duo Induction Charger receives entry into the living room with its “wireless charging”. The Wii Remotes are charged via modern induction technology, by basically laying them into the charging pod. The troublesome act of removing the silicon sleeves is therefore dropped, because the Flux Duo charges also with “rubber”. Two induction batteries for snakebyte and Nintendo Wii remotes are already included in the set. - Induction Charger for two snakebyte Remotes or Wii Remotes
- Induction technology allows charging of Remotes with and without silicon sleeve
- Charging of Wii Remotes possible even with Motion plus hardware equipped
- Effortlessly lay down the Remote Controller or batteries into the charging cradle
- High quality 700 MAh NiMH batteries included, charging of batteries possible even without Wii Remote
- LED charging indication
- Power supply through the console’s AC adaptor, the console must not be turned on to charge
The Flux Duo Induction Charger will be available commercially from the 15th January 2010 for a price of 29.99€ (RRP).
Straight from the horse’s mouth – the snakebyte web shop
The desired snakebyte product is not available at your electronics retailer? Not a problem with the snakebyte web shop. Here are all snakebyte products first hand, directly from the manufacturer, easy, fast and post-free from 19.99€ (within Germany). Furthermore there will be exclusive products available regularly, which cannot be purchased anywhere else.
The snakebyte web shop is online as of now and offers visitors and customers attractive products for the start and raffles with different media partners, stopping by is worth it!
The snakebyte web shop is available over the snakebyte website www.snakebyte-europe.com or directly under www.snakebyte-europe.com/shop, twenty four seven.

Battlefield: Bad Company
XCM has released multiple software versions due to multiple different kinds of mouse and various of FPS games, one software and setting may not be compatible with all of these games, so they have released 2-3 versions of software for gamers to select which one is suitable for them:
Regarding to each mouse has different setting, so we released 4 new softwares to adapt to suit individual taste. (Notes: you can adjust the sensitivity of axis X and Y to suit the game play, but not the high sensitivity is good for all the games, some only needs to set to 3-4 is better than the high rate!)
XFPS 4.0 Speed:
Version 1.41 (Suggest: "CALL OF DUTY 4")
Version 1.42
Version 1.43 (Suggest: "BAD COMPANY". Zoom Scale=3.3~4.0)
Version 1.44 We'll have a full review when we have given our review copies a full run through. You can purchase any of these products at Play-Asia, Divineo, Console Source and Extreme-Mods.

Below is a leaked video from ZooZen R&D showcasing their latest product...Overcase. This is a concept and we hope this comes outs.
Only problem I see with it is that you have to keep the Xbox 360 horizontal. If you stand it up, the fan is covered. I personally stand my Xbox 360 vertical which gives me more room on my TV stand.
Would you buy it if it was $50? What do you think about it?

Ju-On: The Grudge
Release Date: 10/30/2009 (Europe)
Platform: Wii
Number of Players: 1-2
Genre: Fright Simulator
Publisher: Rising Star Games
Developer: Feelplus
Region: Europe
Overview: Experience genuine terror from one of Japan’s horror masters, Takeshi Shimizu, in the first ever videogame offering of JU-ON: The Grudge.
The gaming environment is based heavily on the film version of the Grudge and using the Wii Remote as a flashlight, players explore haunted areas such as an abandoned warehouse, a dimly lit hospital and a mannequin factory, all whilst trying to remain in control of their nerves. The game is developed with heavy involvement from Shimizu-san - JU-ON: The Grudge is as close as you can get to actually being in the twisted world of The Grudge.
The aim of the game is to remain as calm as possible, the more a player flinches and jumps at the terrifying events unfolding around them, the worse their score becomes. A great game for groups of friends, JU-ON: The Grudge is a battle of nerves as well as serious laughs as each player takes their turn to frighten themselves silly. The developers have taken care to make sure that this game is as realistic as possible and many of the sound effects were recorded at existing ruined facilities and buildings to recreate the true horror of the experience.
The Wii Remote is also used as various different devices throughout the game, giving a realistic take on specific movements such as opening doors. At the end of the game scores can be compared with your friends and family to find out who truly is the most scared!
Released in time for Halloween, why not invite your friends round and see which one you can scare the most?
And remember, this game should be played with the lights off!
Gameplay: Ju-On: The Grudge is dubbed a "Fright Simulator" and is suppose to be a Haunted House Simulator (as per North American cover shot). Ju-On begins with a definition of the term "juon", defining it as a curse born from one who dies tragically that affects and kills all who come into contact with it.
In this game, you start off by selecting your gender as well as your star sign. Once you have selected your character, you begin the game with a dog, Ivy, wandering into a rundown factory. After noticing your pet hasnt returned, you proceed into the factory in search for 'man's best friend' armed with a flashlight. If you're the type to never open the manual and just jump right in, like myself, I suggest you open the manual before playing the game to familiarize yourself with the controls since there are no tutorials in the beginning.
Immediately, you encounter your first scare when you press B. As stated above, B is used to move forward and you only move forward at a slow pace and only that pace. On the bottom left of the screen, you'll see your three (3) battery meter for your flashlight. Like real life flashlights or any electronics, when in use, the battery depletes. This is essentially your life. Dont worry, you'll be able to find batteries in dark rooms along with keys to open locked doors. You would think that the character would move a little faster to find her pet dog before the flashlight dies but you're limited to an extremely slow walking pace. If the battery dies before the game is completed, you will need to start from the beginning. Yes, the beginning. There are no checkpoints at any time in the game.
The further you get, the scares become predictable and expected. They usually happen around the same areas, same situations and same way.
In the game, there is a 'curse'. If you encounter a 'curse', it chases you around for a few seconds and the only way to evade it is to perform a series of actions with the Wiimote. These actions such as waving the controller, are displayed on screen with arrows appearing at the edge of the screen and you have to move the controller in the direction specificed to help you escape from the 'curse'. If the arrow turns green, it means you passed. If the arrow turns red and you do not want it to turn red because that means you have failed which results in death and you will have to repeat it all over again.
A second player can join in but they arent there to help but more of scaring the first player which slows the player down. They have to wait 15 seconds before they can do another scare tactic.
Controls: To give you a quick rundown of the controls, the B button is used to move forward, DOWN on the d-pad moves your character backwards and the A button is used to interact with doors and items. And the most important part is moving your Wiimote. This is used to direct the light from the flashlight and to direct your character. As you creep further into the game, you realize the controls isnt really that good. Moving the flashlight is not as responsive and can be a bit frustrating at times trying to get your character to move in the direction you want it to move.
When something scary is about to happen, you are taken out of control and the camera moves to a location where something has happened.
Graphics: The graphics arent the best. You would expect a solid lighting environment but the flashlight is very weak and everything is boxy and pixelated. Maybe your character should of invested in a LED flashlight instead of a bulb based lighting system. LOL.
Sound: There is barely any sound at all. If you do hear sound, its from a cat screeching or right when something happens and even that is for a few seconds. Sound effects make up a good chunk of the game such as footsteps, doors creaking and other ambient noises fill the air and echo through the environments.
Replay Value: The game is very short with only four (4) episodes with each lasting 20-30 mins. So in total, you can finish the game in 2 hours. Once the game is finished, theres not much you can go back to.
Conclusion: Overall, Ju-On: The Grudge didnt impress me or frighten me. The biggest down fall was the controls and gameplay. We all know the Wii is not as powerful as the PS3 or Xbox 360 but it could have been better. According to T. Kanazawa, “You’ll jump, laugh and cry… perfect fun!” according to the bottom right corner of the box. To me, its more like you'll probably cry from laughter and jump up to use the bathroom or get some food/beverage.
If you want to try and get the most enjoyment out of the game or for your buck, play this in the dark and with a friend who is scared at horror. You wont be jumping out of your seat because of the game but because of your friend screaming. Thats the most fright you'll probably get out of the game.

XCM Cross Battle Adapter 2.0
Manufacturer: XCM
Site: Buy from Play-Asia / Buy from ConsoleSource / Buy from Amazon
Price: $69.99
Overview : The famous Cross Battle Adapter now comes in a new version, 2.0, with new functions to swap all your controller's functions!
The Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 is an adapter to allow you to connect your Xbox 360 wired controller to your PS3 console for use with PS3 games.
The XCM Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 is built with a new function for swapping the controller’s triggers and bumpers. You can also swap the functions of A, B, X, Y buttons (Example: Set the function of A button to the X button or set the function of B button to the Y button, etc) and swap the functions of 2 analog sticks as well! The PS3 Six Axis mode and rumble function are also supported. The best adapter in the industry just got better!
Features:- Compatible with ALL PlayStation consoles and models.
- Requires the wired Xbox 360 controller.
- Built in Rapid Fire / Turbo for each button with independant controls.
- Easy to Use - Just Plug and Play!
Quality/Usability : This review is an update to the XCM Cross Battle Adapter. There is also a Cross Battle Adapter PLUS that supported rumble that was released after the original CBA.
Comparing the two Cross Battle Adapter, there is a big cosmetic change. The Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 comes in a purple casing with a clear purple back. The front has a big backlit LED "XCM" logo with toggle switches. Like the original CBA, the switches are for the TURBO function. Each switch is also labeled to tell you what each buttons are. For instance, the [X] button on the PS3 is the [A] button the 360. The R1 button on the PS3 is the RB on the 360.
To connect the CBA 2.0, plug the Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 into the PS3 console and the LED "XCM" logo will start flashing blue. After plugging in the Xbox 360 wired controller (yes, you must use a wired controller) and the blue LED will stop flashing and stay lit.
Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 gives you the ability to use the tilt functionality. But its not what you think. There is no motion or tilt sensitivity. Instead, if you switch the TILT button to "L" on the CBA2.0, the function of the LEFT analog stick of the 360 will now replace the PS3 controller's tilt function instead of its own function. If you switch to "R", it will take the function of the PS3's tilt function. If you dont want the tilt function at all, leave it on "N". So if you have it set on "L" or "R", you lose the original function of the analog stick.
The CBA 2.0 allows you to swap buttons. You can swap the A, B, X, Y, RB, LB, RT, LT, RC, LC, START, BACK and Directional Pad. An example is to switch the A and B button. Press the "S" button and the LED indicator will light up, then press the B button and the indicator will stop blinking. When you press the A button, the light of the LED indicator will turn off. This means the swapping procedure is complete and the B button now has the function of the A. If you want the A button to have the function of the B, simply repeat the steps above but change buttons.
To get back the original button settings, simply press the "S" button and the LED indicator will light up. Press the A button and the indicator will start to blink. Press the A button again and the light indicator will turn off.
To swap analog sticks, press the "S" button and the indicator will light up. Press any direction of the RIGHT analog stick and the indicator will turn off. To get back the original function, just repeat the steps. The easiest way to get back all the original functions is to press and hold the "S" button for 3 seconds. The LED indicator will blink quickly and all functions will be set back to their original function.
Here is a video of the Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 working on the new PS3 Slim:
With the lit XCM logo and "S" button indicator, swapping/remapping buttons and confirmation is much easier to notice. Like the Cross Battle Adapter PLUS, rumble is also available on 2.0.
Conclusion : Overall, the XCM Cross Battle Adapter 2.0 is a big improvement over the original Cross Battle Adapter (we didnt have the chance to review CBA PLUS since the only difference was that it had rumble available). However, I dont know how much of a use the tilt feature will come in handy. I didnt use it much considering I'm use to using the analog stick. For others they may prefer it. The swapping of buttons is a great addition which gives gamers the ability to configure button layouts to their liking. Unfortunately, you still need to use a wired controller. When I mean wired, I dont mean a wireless controller with the USB cable attached to it. This the only drawback to the Cross Battle Adapter 2.0.

WaterField Designs DSi Travel Case
Manufacturer: WaterField Designs
Site: Buy from Waterfield Designs
Price: $37.00
Overview : As recommended by Mario and Zelda to revolutionize your DSi. From Yoshi's Island to Castlevania, our compact and protective Nintendo DSi Cases hold it all.
The DSi Travel Case is designed to keep the Nintendo DSi and its accessories (including power supply) all together and tangle-free in one place. Custom-sized, padded, interior compartments and self-locking zippers keep your gear safe and secure.
Features:- 7" x 3.5" x 2"
- DSi Travel Case Colors (Silver, Red, Green, Brown, Blue, Black)
Quality/Usability : Going on vacations or just commuting from work/school, its hard to keep track of all your items. For cellphones, you have headsets, cases, chargers and extra batteries, if any. With game stuff, there is more to it. You have videogames, chargers, accessories and more. Its hard to keep track of everything. WaterField Designs is here to help remedy that situation with the DSi Travel Case. The DSi Travel Case is made water resistant material that is also washable (exterior material is water resistant...interior is washable). Case has no outer pockets but does have a locking zipper on the top to prevent any items from falling out or falling in. A locking zipper is a zipper that will not move when the tab is folded down. So if the tab is layed flat with the zipper, the zipper will not open unless you pull with some force. The bottom of the travel case has a rubber padding kind of like a basketball texture to prevent any damage or sliding which also runs up along the side of the case. The outside, which comes in many colors has a shiny metallic look to it.
Inside the DSi Travel Case are 3 compartments. One of the compartments is split into two small pouches which can be used to store your DS games. The center compartment can be used to hold bigger objects such as a charger. The other compartment holds the DSi and is pretty snug. The DSi wont budge. However, it can be a little hassle to get out so you can swap locations. Use the center compartment for the DSi and the other compartment for your charger. Dont worry though, the inside is lined with non-abrasive material so you wont have to worry about the material scratching your DSi or other items. There is also a loop at the end of the pouch. This allows you to put your finger through to give you a better grip in holding the case when removing your DSi rather than squeezing the case.
Conclusion : Overall, the WaterField Designs DSi Travel Case stores all your accessories and system all in one location. The DSi Travel Case is made of durable material with a locking zipper that prevents the zipper from opening and rubber material at the bottom that prevents any slipping. Like all WaterField Design products, you're getting a product that is made in the USA and is durable. With a quality product, there is a price to pay. The cost of the DSi Travel Case is just shy of $40. It is a bit pricey for a case. What I do like about these cases though is that even if you get rid of your electronic device, you can still use the case for something else whether it be just to store or to protect a device. So this case does have a multi-purpose to it.
