Publisher : Taito
Developer: Taito
Genre: Arcade Shooter
Players: 1-4
Price: $19.99
Overview:
Space Invaders is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a party that EVERYONE is invited to (just pay $19.99) lol
Gameplay:
This time around, Space Invaders comes shipped with some strategy by giving you a power up every time you hit four ships of the same color continuously. On the right side of the screen, you will find a power up bar, once you grab a power up, that bar will instantly start draining, so you better use your power wisely. If you want to save the power for later, simply hold the right trigger.
If you see a shiny color changing ship hover across the top of your screen, hitting it will take you to a bonus level, complete that level, and you will be rewarded.
Aside from a new look and slightly new feel, A new element is added: BOSS BATTLES! Yes, you heard right, now you can easily see each and every pixel forming a ship.
Boss battles normally consist of one or two big ships, and a bunch of little ones, though the small ones may seem like a bother at first, DO NOT BE FOOLED! for they are the key to power ups, and power ups are they key to victory.
Only three to go, and this guys are in for a blast! (if you have played the game, you will know what I am talking about)
Graphics:
Space Invaders Extreme. As the name suggests, the game feels like they gave "extreme" amounts of drugs to the game making YOU think you are high. The game has DDR like backgrounds which seem to swirl and melt as you progress through the game. Even though the space ships still look the same but shinier, The game overall looks great, And it is the small details here and there that make it so.
Is it just me, or are the aliens forming question marks? Don't worry, I am confused too.
Sound:
This game has techno music as its companion to to the visuals and it works great, what is even More amazing, is that every shot and explosion created, fits perfectly with the song.
Each level comes with a brand new track that will keep your ears too busy to hear your mom asking you to clean up your room.
Replay Value:
Like most arcade games, Space invader has a great replay value, you will find that whether you have five minutes or two hours, you will be able to pick this up and start playing.
normal bullets can usually do the job, but nothing beats a good ole hyper beam!
YEA! that's what I'M talking about!
Conclusion:
Humpa doompa dompa dee doo, what do you get when you combine great graphics, addicting game play, and great tracks to go along? a must buy for you!
I give this game a:

This review is gonna be a bit different from usual. Although I'm reviewing an amazing piece of homebrew, to be able to fully play it you'd need two files from the actual game, which is roughly still 10 USD. Since its still technically a commercial game...
Also, seeing as this is a homebrew release of a rather old game, this review will be more reminiscient of past Miniviews. My normal reviews won't be this small.
Quake
Producer: id Software
Developer: id Software
Genre: Revolutionary FPS
Port by: Elaun
Download: http://dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=115909
Proving that one of the best shooters ever can be remade, and still be fun today.
One of the original fully rendered 3D shooters
Ok, lets get one thing straight; this game was released in 1996. Naturally then, by today's standards you can't expect much. But comparatively speaking, this game had THE best graphics for its time. Fully rendered 3D models and environments were both new and unseen by the time. Everything from weapons to monsters are fully rendered in #d with bloody haunting textures that seem to be id's passion with their FPS genre. The textures are made to be freaky and scary, and at the time, they were the freakiest thing you've ever seen. Quake looks better then most PSX games easy. Water effects are plain and simply, basically just a texture you can move through. Gun fire effects are part of the guns themselves, which are actually all 3D models themselves. Blood effects and splattering were exceptional for its time in '96, and also controversial (OHZES NOEZ! BLOOD! CALL JACK THOMPSON!) In other words, Quake looks even better then a NDS, Wiiware, or XBL game these days. Heck, it even looks better then most PSP games.
If you saw this when it first came out in '96 you woulda crapped yourself.
BLAARRRRGGGGG
Back in the days of the blood-curtling splatter of enemies that have just been turned into blood and piecemeal, Quake existed and set part of the standard. Enemies moan and grunt as they take damage, and everything from zombies to yetis splatter in a glorious SPLAT! sound. Even Mathew Kain (the player) groans and screams from time to time as you take damage. However, sound effects were the best part of sound effects. Voice acting doesn't exist, and music is only decent. When it comes down to it, while the haunted-house style music is fitting and definately works, its a far-cry from the masterpiece soundtrack that id produced with its classic Doom. Whatever works I suppose...
Zombies. The original splattering enemy.
Wiimote control? In Quake? ****ING AWESOME!
Quake has always been a great classic shooter that set a new standard with its revolutionary ideas and gameplay. But for decades the style of playing the classic FPS has held many a game down in the way of gameplay style. But no longer, and that fact has been ripped to shreds by even the gaming community itself with Elaun's amazing port of Quake to the Wii. For me especially (being a huge long time Doom and Quake fan) this port is the extra twist I've and many other FPS fans have always wanted from this golden-age classic. The Wiimote control works great; the sensativeity is well tuned and the amount of force it takes to turn the screen is almost just right. Although it could take a little more fine tuning, the implementation of motion control in Quake has been professionally done (at least in my opinion. This beats Red Steel's crappy POS control by a mile.) Beyond the great new motion control, Quake is back and just as good as its ever been. With the exception of slightly long load times, Quake has been ported almost perfectly. Minor errors such as the screen-to-HUD ratio exist, but the are easily overlooked. Quake still features its super-actiony bloody shoot-em-up adventure that fans know and love. Featuring a huge cast of weapons to combat an even bigger cast of enemies, Quake is just as good as it ever was. Gun mechanics work perfect (as usual for id. They invented it!) and the autoaim helps the wiimote control to work even better. Powerups such as Quake dmage and the enviro suit help you to blast some mayhem to the monsters. 4 episodes and tons of levels and puzzles for each, this is a game that will hold you a good long time. Not as long as Doom, mind you (start minding!) but its still a long and fun time while your at it.
Well, very small review, but lets finish it up, ay?
Major Selling Points:
◄ Great Wiimote support
◄ An amazing classic, remade for the present
◄ A trip back to the 90's best.
Major Breaking Points:
◄ Aging classic
◄ Little to no story
Story: 3/5
Quake does actually have a subtle story about a decent story of a marine fighting the early Strogg in order to collect Runes to save the earth. Sadly, you would hardly know this if yo didn't read the manual.
Graphics: 4/5
Still holding up brilliantly today, Quake shows some of the best that the 90's had to offer during its time of golden age games. Sadly, time has been a bit rough to it...
Sound: 3/5
Sound effects are amazingly done and well implemented. Music, not so much.
Gameplay: 5/5
A HUGE inhale of fresh air is breathed into Quake through the new support of Wiimote control.
Value: 5/5
Yep, value. Its a new rting in my reviews :P. As for it then, Quake is worth every penny, as long as its about 5-10 dollars. It may be homebrew, but it comes with shareware, and to play the full game on wii you need to actually buy the game. Fully worth it.
Port(not added to the final score): 5/5
Awesome. Now all we need is a Doom port with motion support.
Overall:
Quake is looking better then ever, and the new controls give it a totally new feel to it. Amazing game made even better.
NOTE: I did NOT make or help make the port. This review is a fan review of Quake and its new root on Wii homebrew, and you can give Elaun the credit for the port.

XCM released the XCM White 360 HDMI Cable for the first generation Xbox 360 known as the XCM White 360 HDMI 1080i Cable last year.
XCM has released images of their new XCM White 360 HDMI Cable. This cable converts the analog singal to a digital one and acts as a HDMI digital signal solution for HDMI-less Xbox 360's, while also sporting an extra RCA socket and optical socket for connection to speakers. The cable also comes with a HDMI to DVI adapter so it can be used on a PC as well as a HD TV. XCM White 360 HDMI Cable automatically detects, plays and displays any Xbox 360 Game or DVD Movie disc up to 1080p.
The adapter is the same as its predecessor with the exception of color. The adapter is white while the cable is black still. The 1080i version was all black.
So if you're looking to purchase this, you can tell which version simply by looking at the color. Divineo and Play-Asia. Adapter will retail approximately $75-80.

Sumo Omni and Otto Bean Bag Chairs
Manufacturer: Sumo Lounge
Site: Buy from Sumo Lounge
Price: $129.00 (Omni) / $75.00 (Otto) / $50.00 (Beads)
Overview :
OMNI
This super-sized pillow by Sumo is the ultimate solution for all your relaxing needs. We've come up with 10 ways to use it, but some people say we lack imagination!
It's a crash mat, lounge chair, loveseat or floor pillow to name a few, but the possibilities really do go on.
Sumo Beanbags are made from space age rip-proof nylon and come filled with top quality Sumo Beads. Omni is 4.5' x 5.5' and it only weighs 18 lbs!
OTTO
Whether you're looking for a comfy place to rest your feet or a seat in front of the coffee table, the Otto is the perfect accessory to match your space.
Sumo Beanbags are made from space age rip-proof nylon and come filled with top quality Sumo Beads. Otto is 50cm radius and it only weighs only 5 lbs!
Features : (Omni)- Space age, rip proof nylon
- Little foam beads
- Huge - 5.5 x 4.5 feet
- Lightweight
- Versatile - 10 in 1
- Colorful
- Water repellant
- Stain resistant
- Easy to clean
- Incredibly comfortable
Quality/Usability : I have been looking for some type of furniture that would let me lean back, play games or watch TV and be comfortable. Yes, I can do that on my leather/suede couch but its not the same. I have to slouch or lay sideways which makes gaming difficult. I can also use the lazyboy but I'm positioned in one way. I dont have the control or the ability to adjust how I sit according to my mood/comfortability.
Bean bag chairs came into popularity in the 1960s and 1970s as a hip, comfortable new family room or living room seating option. The chairs' construction consists of a large bag made of fabric or plastic that is filled with tiny pieces of styrofoam or PVC beads. The chair is positioned directly on the floor and forms around the contour of the body when seated upon. However, Sumo Lounge has improved on the hip bean bag chairs turning it into a modernized bean bag chair.
The Omni has 10 colors to choose from while Otto is 2 colors shy with 8 colors to choose from. Both are made of rip proof nylon filled with Virgin Polystyrene Foam, also known as little foam beads. Sumo beads are tiny little foam balls, polystyrene foam to be specific, that conform to your body like nothing else. That's what the bean bags so comfortable - the little foam balls. Sumo Lounge says there is 10 ways to use it. Do I agree? Yes. Are there other ways to use the Omni? Only your imagination can tell you and thats probably a yes also.
The Omni was light in weight making portability easy to move around the house even up and down the stairs. I'm 5' 9" and the size was perfect for me. I was able to fit my body nice and snuggly into it. The foam balls contoured my body nicely. On the side is a velcro enclosure. Once you separate the velcro, it will reveal a zipper. This is where all the foam balls are stored. So if you ever need to refill or replace the foam balls, this is where you will do so. The velcro adds extra security in case you forget to close up the zipper or your child from accidentally unzipping it.
The Otto was also light in weight and had a velcro but attached itself to the side of the Otto and a zipper inside. What I did notice was the part of the zipper that we grab onto to zip/unzip, wasnt a full piece. More than half of it was missing. I'm not sure if this was a production mistake or intended to be like this. If it was intended to be cut in half, I dont know what the reason for that was. Maybe this allowed the velcro to cover more of the area? Even so, the velcro overlapped the zipper allowing it to prevent access to zipper or the foam beads.
Conclusion : Overall, Sumo Omni and Otto Bean Bag Chairs were very durable and a perfect size. The Omni contoured my body nicely. Once I was situated in a position, I did not move around. I probably could of stayed in that one position for hours. Although the Omni is perfect for one person, you can try and squeeze in a second person. Granted, there wont be a lot of room, but will bring you closer to your loved one. It was so comfy that both my sister and my girlfriend passed out on the Omni.
The Otto(man) with the combination of the Omni makes the perfect "couch" with footrest. The Otto is a perfect height. The Otto isnt filled completely with foam balls and is not stiff so it will contour your foot slightly but not enough where your foot will sink into it. You can also use the Omni as a little stool to sit on. I personally would of preferred it to be a little stiffer.
However, since its made of nylon, you'll be making some sound while moving around. It would be nice if Sumo Lounge offered a suede or cloth version.
*UPDATE*
It seems to me that I received a defective Otto. The zipper handle was not suppose to be cut off. Also, upon closer inspection, even though the zipper is completely closed, the other end of the zipper is open. Luckily, the velcro prevents any foam balls from coming out. But if you ever have a problem, Sumo provides a six month guarantee on material composition, seams and Velcro/zipper closure. I contacted Sumo Lounge in regards to the problem and they have been quick to responding to my emails.

Introduction
The M3 Simply is currently one of the most populair flashcarts for the DS. In this review, which I originally wrote in Dutch, I am going to tell you about the features of the M3 Simply and how good they actually work.
Features
The M3 Team lists the following features on its official website, m3adapter.com:
* The same size as an original DS cart
* Build in PassMe (No need for boot card or anything else to boot )
* Using Micro SD card (Trans Flash) as external storage . Cheap & variety usage .
* Super simple to use , drag and files over to the micro SD card . No drivers required.
* Standard FAT system support .
* Support different speed of micro SD card even the low speed SD card .Run games/programs without any lag or slow down .
* upgradeable Firmware ( OS / Bios / Kernel )
* Touch screen control & robust skinning support .
* No need battery , back up the save file into the micro SD card directly .Never lose your save data.
* Auto detect the save type & automatic generate saver file .
* Homebrew support , IO lib will release on launch .
* Direct watch movie , listen MP3 & read TXT on the DS via the use of Moonshell .
* Support WiFi , DS rumble pack & DS browser .
Read the rest of the review to find out if the M3 Simply can do this and if it can do anything else.
Packaging and contents
The M3 Simply package contains:
* The M3 Simply cartridge itself
* A box to store two DS cartridges
* A cord to attach to the box
* A MiniCD containing the M3 Simply software
* A MicroSD USB reader to read MicroSD cards in a computer
The M3 Simply feels like a cartridge that won't break easily. It isn't perfect though: after using it a lot the contacts may get a bit dirty and the DS won't be able to recognize it anymore. Also, the springloader used in older units such as my own tends to break really easy: in both of the M3 Simply units I owned the springslot broke really fast.
The box is extremely ugly, but it does work and protects the cartridges in it quite well. The string is as ugly, but is quite strong.
The included CD is nice, but the software on it will be dated in most cases.
The USB reader works perfectly. I have used it for months, and it still works great. A downside is the lack of a LED. You will never be able to see if the computer is writing to the MicroSD card. This problem has also been corrected.
The package is a blue box which is essentially the same as the M3 Slot-2 cards' boxes. The plastic in it is sturdy, so the contents should be protected well enough.
Save Transformer and Rom Trimmer
If the M3 Simply is not your first flashcart you might want to transfer your old savefiles to the M3 Simply. This is possible using the Save Transformer. The Save Transformer can convert SuperCard, M3 (Pro/Perfect), DSLink, AceKard, EZ Flash IV and Ewin2 files to M3 Simply format.
The M3 Team also developed a simple rom trimmer. It does its job and supports Download Play, but there are already better trimmers.
Size and PassMe feature
The M3 Simply is as big as a normal DS cartridge. Older units include a little gap in which the MicroSD card should be inserted, but this is barely visible on newer units.
The M3 Simply includes a PassMe- or (to be more precise) a NoPass-function. This means it is usable on any DS, and that it can boot any Slot-2 cart.
Rom Compatibility, WiFi Connection and updates
The M3 Simply can play virtually any DS rom. The M3 Simply is one of the first carts which does not need any patching at all. You will just have to copy the rom over and let the M3 Simply software create a new save file and you're good to go.
A downside is that slower MicroSD carts have problems playing the Castlevania games and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam. This is a problem of MicroSD carts though.
The M3 Simply updates are exactly the same as the R4 updates. The M3 Team used to be a bit late with M3 Simply updates, but nowadays they are really fast, meaning the updates are as good as the R4 updates.
In the past the M3 Team added functionalities like automatic DLDI patching and Download Play support. Newer updates do not include new functions but will contains bugfixes.
Nintendo WiFi Connection works exactly the same as in an original game.
Touch screen and skinning support
The Touch Screen support of the M3 Simply is not optimal. Selecting a file still requires the D-pad of the DS. The Touch Screen is not required at all, expect in the cheat menu.
Skinning the M3 Simply is very easy. Just replace some of the images in one of the 12 skin directories and you've got yourself a skin.
Saving
Every game saves perfectly on the M3 Simply. The M3 Simply uses a standard savefile that will always work. Be sure to leave 4 MB of free space on the MicroSD card, or it might cause problems.
Homebrew support
All new homebrew is supported by the M3 Simply. The M3 Simply can automatically patch the files with DLDI, meaning the homebrew can acces the SD card. The DLDI is also downloadable as a DLDI-file.
Media
The M3 Simply software package includes Moonshell. This program can play DPG files, a movie format for the DS, and normal MP3-files and TXT-files. This works really well, though the normal Moonshell might be more up-to-date.
While the M3 Simply is a M3 product it does not include the Moonshell version included in other M3 products.
Support for Nintendo DS Browser and Rumble Pak
The M3 Simply works without a Slot-2 cart, meaning usage of the Rumble Pak and similar addons is possible.
The Rumble Pak works exactly the same as it does with original games.
The M3 Simply can also link DS roms with original GBA games.
The Nintendo DS Browser is a different story. The browser works exactly like the original cartridge works, meaning it needs a RAM Pak. Fortunately there are many patches for Slot-2 carts like the M3 Perfect to work. These work great on the M3 Simply.
Cheat support
The M3 Simply supports Action Replay cheats. Nearly all of them work great on the M3 Simply. The M3 Simply reads a file called CHEAT.DAT. This file is encrypted though. It's also possible to use a decrypted USRCHEAT.DAT.
Using the newest software, it possible to choose which file to use.
DS Download Play
The M3 Team has added 100% support for DS Download Play. This is even better than some new carts, so it's very impressive. The M3 Simply can upload software to both flashed and unmodified DS units, meaning DS Download Play support is perfect.
Conclusion
The M3 Simply is extremely good, considering it is quite old for a flashcart. The updates are still quite fast, meaning every DS rom works great. The M3 Simply isn't manufactured anymore, but it should be available for a low price.
The M3 Simply can't play GBA games, and won't include some of the newest features, but it is still a cheap, reliable cart.
9,0/10
I think the M3 Simply deserves 9,0 out of 10 points. It may not be perfect, but it is still a very good cart.

AirForm EVA NDSL Rubber Case Review
I do not know who makes this case, because 1, it sold sort of a cheap china product and doesnt really have a brand on it, and 2 I cant read chinese...
================================================== ===================
Intro:
So I was looking for a case for my DS Lite that was similar to the Logitech Play Gear Pocket for my PSP which if anyone doesnt know it sort of an destructible case that absorbs impact and protect the PSP against scratches.
The DS however does not have such a poduct, only cheap cases and these little plastic covers that will not protect from dropping the DS and are poorly made. So I came accross this little case on amazon for $14 and saw it had some fetures I wanted and some storage space and decided to give it a shot.
(I know there cheaper on DX but if I wanted to wait a month for my product as well as the poor "engrish" and bad customer service against the 2 days I received my product I would have went to DX instead...)
================================================== ===================
Packaging:
The packaging wasnt exactly great, was covered in Chinese, which I didnt understand a lick of.
(And apprently from the back this case is fire proof and nuclear waste resistant from the pictures on the back of the box??? lol, I wouldnt place bets on that one... )
Just some cardboard holding it in the package.
Nothing strange, cheaply packed. Was glad that the metal DSL logo had an anti scratch piece of plastic over it, many people complained about their having scratches, mine didnt.
================================================== ===================
Usage:
It unzips fairly easy doesnt get stuck.
The DSL fits snug inside and protects it when closed, even glad about the storage space which I use to store my extra expansion pak (rumble pack from my M3 Real) since my GBA expansion pak is always in my DS.
Could even store things like headphones in there and a USB reader for the MicroSD card, you get the deal.
I dont think it has enough room for the charger, never tried...
A top view of the case...
and a bottom view...
and a few inside view of the case...
Overall very good fit, nothing out of place.
One thing I did like was the flap, which holds DS carts, and extra pen for the touch screen and protects the DS from the stuff in the storage pouch. was very nice.
One bad thing though...
the smell
I do not know why all these cheap china products smell so bad, it goes away after a while but still...
it stinks...
================================================== ===================
CONCLUSION:
This DS Lite case is pretty good for protecting a DS Lite and for people like me who dont keep things like this in their pocket, I just throw it in my backpack along with my PSP in its Play Gear Pocket and everything is good, protects it without getting scratches all over it.
I would recommend this case to anyone looking for protection for their DSL.
================================================== ===================
PROS/CONS
Pros:- Protects the DSL very good for rubber
- Some storage space for carts or headphones/ect...
- Nice metal DSL logo on front
- Soft Felt on inside of case protects DS from scratches
Cons- Smells bad (it goes away eventually...)
- Somewhat cheap construction
