Here is an excerpt from Eurogamer:
Nintendo has denied that it has once again revised the design of the Wiimote strap, despite apparent photographic evidence to back up the claims.
"The four wrist straps on the left of that picture are not made by Nintendo," a spokesperson told Eurogamer this afternoon, referring to pictures showing replacement straps of a different design to those issued with the console and since.
The photographer had claimed that they were sent to him by Nintendo's replacement programme, which was implemented recently as a reaction to (slightly hysterical) complaints that Wiimote straps were flimsy and hazardous.
"There is no new wrist strap - they must be third party," the spokesperson concluded.
At the time of first offering replacements in mid December, Nintendo had said there was "absolutely nothing wrong" with the originals, which, it pointed out, had passed all the required safety tests.
I knew these werent from Nintendo. Just take a look at them. Those four straps dont have Nintendo or Wii written on them.

Double! Expand Memory Converter
Manufacturer: DragonPlus
Site: Buy from Goldenshop
Price: $19.00
Overview : Finally an affordable solution to use cheap SD, Mini SD or MMC cards you already own on your PSP! The Dragon Double Expand Memory Converter for PSP is a plug & play solution that saves you money and expand your PSP media capacity! 2 cards can even be used at the same time!!
Features :- High quality 3rd party product.
- Converts SD, Mini SD, MMC card to be used on PSP.
- 2 pcs of memory cards can be used simultaneously.
Quality/Usability : The ability to use different storage media on your PSP is a dream come true. With the Double Expand Memory Converter, you can use SD, Mini SD and MMC cards if you have them laying around the house. Not to mention, they are cheaper than Sony's proprietary format, Pro Duo.
Attaching the adapter to the PSP is simple. Whats great about this adapter is that you can use multiple cards at once. Want 4GB of storage? Just use two 2GB cards. And yes, you can use different types (i.e. SD and Mini SD, SD and MicroSD, etc.) Although the package says that 4GB cards are not supported, it actually does. I dont know if you can use two 4GB cards as I only own one.
In order to use multiple cards simultaneously, you need to format both of them using your PC. Once you format the cards, they have to be in the same spots they were originally in inorder for them to work. If the cards were swapped, it will no longer work and you would need to reformat them again.
Now that you know that you can use different media cards and multiple cards, you would want to know how it fairs in speed for reading/writing of data. I must say, the speed for reading/writing is fairly close to that of the Memory Stick Pro Duo itself. It takes slightly a little longer to load certain movies and games. I didnt notice any slow down in music.
I have also tested this with Devhook and emulated the firmware. It took a little longer to load the emulated firmware but wasnt too noticeable. I have also tested this on Dark_AleX's Custom Firmware 3.03OE-B and just like the others, there was slight delay in accessing the memory cards.
Conclusion : Overall, the Double Expand Memory Converter is a great alternative as a media storage. If you have any high capacity SD, Mini SD or MMC cards laying around the house, you wont need to purchase any Pro Duo cards. Unfortunately, the converter doesnt accept Pro Duo cards. It would of been nice if it would accept the original Memory Sticks as we all have those laying around the house. I know I do.

PSP LCD Remote with FM Radio
Manufacturer: Game Brain
Site: Buy from Goldenshop
Price: $19.00
Overview : Alternative remote headset for the PSP. Now you can listen to FM radio using your PSP.
Features :- High quality 3rd party product.
- Full remote function of PSP.
- Built in super high sensitive FM radio, easy to switch between radio mode or PSP mode.
- No need to add any battery - get the power from the PSP console.
Quality/Usability : When I saw this product, I wasnt expecting to see a remote headset WITH a FM radio on it. So I had to see it for myself.
The package only comes with the remote and no headphones. You'll have to supply those yourself. The remote has a smooth rubberish feel to it. The remote itself is approximately 2.5 inches (l) x 1 inches (w) x 0.5 inches (d). With the wire, the remote measures 28.5 inches long.
On the front of the remote, you have the LCD screen (green) and to the left of it, a PLAY/PAUSE button. The top has a HOLD OFF/ON switch and a PSP/RADIO switch. The bottom of the remote has two buttons, a FF/CH- : REW/CH+ and VOL-/DOWN : VOL+/UP. The back of the remote is a clip. The clip is pretty big unlike the Sony Remote's clip and measures 1.5 inches.
To power on the remote, all you have to do is plug it into the PSP and the remote is automatically on. If you have it set to PSP, you can hear all in-game sound, MP3s and movies through the remote. If you have it switched to RADIO, this will turn on the radio. You can switch to any FM station that is available within your location.
The remote holds up to 40 presets for all your favorite radio stations. I must say, the quality is superb. I hardly get any static. Its even better than my Sony Ericsson w810i camera phone. But dont expect any bumpin' bass though. You can either scan through radio stations or go through each station until you find one. Since the remote runs on the PSPs battery, it does not take much power at all.
During movie and music playback, the buttons does what its suppose to do. PLAY/PAUSE does what it says. FF and REW only does it once. You cant have it FF faster (x2, x3) or REW (x2, x3).
Conclusion : Overall, the PSP LCD Remote with FM Radio is a great product. This is by far the best remote on the market. Not only does it have clarity, but the radio is awesome and doesnt drain the battery at all (it does but not noticeable). My only complaint is that there is no ON/OFF button. When you have the remote plugged in, its automatically on. So if you want the remote off, you have to unplug it from the system.

Wii Remote Controller Protector
Manufacturer: HORI
Site: Buy from Brando
Price: $9.00
Overview : Protect your Wii Remote Controller from dust and light scratches.
Features :- 99% Transparency
- Scratch and Dust Prevention
- Tailor made for Wii. Custom Fit
Quality/Usability : Hori has entered the scene with their first Nintendo Wii accessory. Hori is well known for their screen protectors. Their first product is a Wii Remote Controller Protector.
Applying the skin is fairly simple. Removing the skin does not damage the remote controller or leave any sticky residue. The cutouts for each button is precise and perfect.
The skin has 3 layers of film that will protect the top of your controller from scratches and any discolorations caused by UV. Those who have used HORI products before will be satisified with this product. Not to mention, the Wii Remote Controller Protector is one of few accessories out there that is Officially Licensed by Nintendo.
Conclusion : Overall, the Wii Remote Controller Protector is a great purchase. This will without a doubt protect your remote controller from scratches. For $9.00, it seems a bit pricey but it will be money well spent.

Wii Skin Protector
Manufacturer: Unknown
Site: Buy from Brando
Price: $18.00
Overview : This Wii Skin Protector has a Professional design and precise mould, particularly protect every where of Wii airframe. Prevent dust and scratch. It adpots PET compound technology, high transparent not leave remnant and not corrupt the surface of unit airframe. Tree layer design, protect the user layer effectively and not effect the appearance of Wii. Safety and credibility, can protect your products effectively.
Features :- Includes 13 pieces of protector and a soft cotton in each pack
- 99% Transparency
- Scratch and Dust Prevention
- Tailor made for Wii. Custom Fit
Quality/Usability : Following the heels of DecalGirl Skin for the Wii, 3rd party companies are starting to release protective skins for the Wii. Although this does the same thing what DecalGirl skins do, this protective skin has 13 pieces to apply!
I dont know if there was a need to have 13 pieces but it does make installation a little easier as you put piece by piece rather then having to align everything perfectly. Applying the skin is similar to the procedure as that of DecalGirl skin.
Removing the skin is fairly easy and does not leave any sticky residue. The skin does a great job of protecting the Wii from scratches, dust and fingerprints. Only problem is that since its clear, if you get a piece of hair or dirt between the skin and Wii, it will be noticeable.
The protective skin does a great job of covering every part of the Wii except the back and bottom. It also includes a cotton cloth to wipe down the Wii before applying the skin and a soft card. What this soft card does is allow you to smooth out the skin and eliminate any air bubbles that might be stuck. To me, its a bit small considering you have big areas to cover such as the side of the Wii. But it does come in handy for those small and tight areas.
Conclusion : Overall, the Wii Skin Protector is a nice product and does what its intended to do. Since its clear, those who are a perfectionist or anal, better make sure they are in a clean room or make sure they clean the Wii real well before applying the skin and fast. Once a piece of hair or dirt is stuck inbetween the Wii and skin, it may be a pain to remove. The skin protector is a bit pricey at $18. For that price, it should include a skin for wii remote, nunchuk and/or classic controller.

Wii Cooling Fan
Manufacturer: PEGA
Site: Buy from Brando
Price: $10.00
Overview : Lower your Wii temperature effectively. Make you can play games more smoothly.
Features :- Lower the temperature of the console
- Use USB power, no extra power adapter is required
Quality/Usability : With todays nex-gen consoles, there are problems with overheating due to the enormous amount of power that is required to power the system. To combat this situation 3rd party companies are releasing cooling fans to cool off your consoles.
The Wii Cooling Fan uses both USB ports of on the back of the Wii. But dont worry, the cooling fan has a pass-through port that allows you to use a USB port if needed. There is no power switch as this is automatically powered on once the Wii is turned on. There is a green LED on the cooling fan to let you know that its on.
The cooling fan has a fan similar to that found on your computer tower but a smaller version. The cooling fan is approximately 3.5" (h) x 1" (d) x 2" (w).
Once plugged in and the Wii powered on, the fan automaticallyl starts. It would of been nice if there was some form of covering to prevent dust from entering such as the dust cover. The fan itself is pretty strong and a good amount of wind is entered and at the same time, a bit too loud. The loudness of the fan overpowers the sound from the TV unless you have your TV's volume put on "deaf".
Conclusion : Overall, the Wii Cooling Fan is a great product and blends in perfectly with the Wii. After playing with the Wii for 3 hours straight, the Wii was still rather cool compared to not having the fan at all. As mentioned above, my only two complaints is how loud it is and the lack of a dust cover. But for the price, its a great buy.
