The market for cooling solutions for the Xbox 360 is getting a little crowded a year after the console's launch. Nyko was early on the scene with the company's Intercooler 360
(review) /
(review (DCEmu)), which has since been followed by many competitors. Pelican is expanding on the theme with a new product scheduled for a late Q1 launch, the Air Flo Cooler.
The device adds two USB-powered cooling fans to the 360 to add a degree of security for owners dreading the common 'Red Eye of Death' and actually goes further to add some unique spice of its own. As the picture shows, the Air Flo also sports connections for the 360's diverse output options, including composite, s-video, component, and VGA, as well as a 4-port USB hub, Ethernet jack, and optical and RCA audio. The concept may prove a useful alternative to the array of individual dongle cables for each video connection that are currently available, especially for players that travel with a 360 and require compatibility with as many TVs as possible.
The Air Flo cooler will carry an MSRP of $29.99.
