[mdmoose29] has been working on making a custom SNES cartridge for a dubstep artist (tell us more, [moose]…). In his search for programming tools, he found theSNES Game Maker. We tried it out for a bit and it’s still a very unrefined beta. Still, making SNES programming easier is awesome.

Games icon not yet ready to resign, but is passing responsibility to younger colleagues

Shigeru Miyamoto is helping foster a new generation of games developers within Nintendo as age begins to catch up on the talismanic games designer.
Months after Nintendo tried to calm investors from anxieties over Miyamoto’s retirement, the games designer has again been questioned on his long-term position.

"We all get older. I'm already about to turn 60,” he told Spanish national paper El Mundo.
“In recent years I've been telling people within Nintendo [that] I'll have to retire at some point. We must be prepared. That's why I given more responsibility to younger colleagues.”
But Miyamoto reiterated that he is not yet ready to quit, and that previous claims suggesting otherwise were the result of a “misunderstanding”.

This site like any site is a massive undertaking and we need help on every console scene. No site in any scene is 100% perfect on what they cover and totally up to date. In homebrew methods change all the time and only you the users can help others join in the fun. If your a specialist in any console area and you want to see all the news appear its a great way of making sure it happens.

We are always in the need of Tutorials and Guides and FAQs not only for Homebrew but for hacking and Development and even just for gaming on consoles.

Newsposters are always in need especially for WIP and Release News of Emulators, Homebrew etc and across many languages, i am English and to be honest the the translation apps on the net are crap, but the more help we get the better we can become, ive also no doubts that there are releases in places like Japan, China and Korea etc that never reach the likes of DCEmu and others because of language barriers.

Now we have some results from computer scientists at Universite Libre de Bruxelles and MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory that many classic games contain within them an NP-hard problem. If you ever needed proof that you can never keep a good console down, here it is: Super Fighter Team, a small developer and publisher based in California, will be releasing new game Nightmare Busters for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System next year.
Yes, that's a new title for a system released 22 years ago, and the first new game released for SNES since 1998.According to the game's official site, Nightmare Busters is a "masterful run and gun game." There's nothing more beyond that description, but Super Fighter Team expects to release more details shortly.
Due to pricey production costs the game will set North American customers back $68 and international ones $75. The initial run of Nightmare Busters is limited to 600 copies. It'll be region-free, so if you're up for a spending a little quality time with your SNES you can pre-order it now.
In other Nintendo news, the platform holder has teased 3DS owners with the prospect of new Zelda games in the near future.
