Problem : The light in the trunk is usually a single bulb, resulting in horribly dim and sometimes yellow light. Even placing a LED light which is brighter would not help.

Solution : Install dual 12" White CCFL Cold Cathode Trunk Light Kit

(Final product may vary slightly depending on parts delivered)

Available colors: White , Pink , Red , Orange Cream , Yellow , Green , Blue , Purple , UV Black Light . THIS IS A BY ORDER BASIS . You pay and I order the parts. Once I receive the parts, I will modify and ship to you. There is roughly a 1 week waiting period depending on how fast I get the parts in. Once I receive all parts, it takes me a day or two to modify and test to make sure all are in excellent working condition. **White is the brightest while other colors is for looks and will not be as bright.

So is your trunk too dim to see? Do you have a sub or amp that covers the bulb? The cathodes are 12VDC and with a simple plug and play into your existing trunk light socket, your new bright cathodes operate just like the stock only 20x as bright. Each tube consists of glass contained inside a protective acrylic tube. The transformer is housed in a 3.25" x 1" x 0.75" black plastic safety housing. This means they turn on when the trunk is opened and turn off when closed. There is no cutting or splicing of factory wires. I will solder a 194/921 wedge plug or 3022 festoon to the ends of the cable, solder a 5x20mm fuse holder, include a 1A 250v fuse and cover the soldered wires with heatshrink tubing. This will fit any make and model of car that uses a 194/921 bulb or 3022/3021 festoon (read below for other sizes that are similar). I have done all the hard work for you. All you do is plug it in and mount them! You can use zip-ties (included) to mount the cold cathodes/transformer, velcro (not included) or however you want to mount them.

WHAT IF I SELL/TRADE/JUNK MY CAR AND WILL THIS FIT?

If for whatever reason, you end up trading, selling or junking your vehicle whether it be tomorrow, couple months or years from now, these lights are transferrable so as long the new vehicle uses the same plug. If it does not, a new plug will need to be soldered on that will fit in the new socket (I can do it for you but you will need to send back wire only. Email me for price quote). If the vehicle you are putting these lights into uses the same plug, its plug and play!

This cathode trunk light mod will fit Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Acura, Honda, Nissan and many more! HOW DO I INSTALL THE CATHODES?

Each make and model of vehicle is different. Some may have an exposed trunk roof that shows bare metal while some may have a cloth lining. I did all the hard work by modifying the lights. The hardest part for you is how you want to mount it. Included are ten (10) zip-ties and one (1) 3M industrial strength double-sided tape (preinstalled onto transformer). If you don't want to use the included zip-ties and prefer to use double-sided tape that you already have or want to go out and purchase, you can do that. You can use zip-ties to hold the wires or even use electrical tape and tape it to the trunk. There are many many ways on how you can install these lights. Its all about how you want to mount it and how clean and neat you want to install the lights.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?

Custom cathode light kit costs $45USD via USPS 1st Class w/delivery confirmation or $47USD via USPS 1st Class w/delivery confirmation & insurance within the lower 48 states. For international orders, it will be $55USD via USPS 1st Class International (NO tracking available. Once it leaves our hands, we are not responsible. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO ARRIVE?

Once you have submitted payment, I will order parts either the same day or the next business day. This allows me to get the parts as soon as possible, modify and test the lights and than ship it to you. This will provide me with a fast turn around and get the lights out to you quicker. I usually receive parts within 5 business days. Once I am done with modifying and testing, depending on your location, Domestic orders can take 1-7 business days (does not include holidays or weekends). International orders can take 5-14 business days (does not include holidays or weekends) and may be delayed at customs. Once I drop it off at the Post Office, I have no control over delivery. So in total, domestic orders can take 1-2 weeks from the time you pay to the time it gets to your doorstep and international orders can take 1.5-3 weeks from the time you pay to the time it gets to your doorstep.

WHAT IF IT ALL OF A SUDDENLY IT STOPS WORKING?

If the lights stop working out of the blue. There are 4 things that can be wrong.

1. Plug - Make sure the plug did not fall out and is completely in.
2. Cathode Lights - If one of the lights does not work, than the tube may be broken. Also check to make sure its plugged in. If BOTH lights do not work, check the transformer or fuse.
3. Transformer - With the wedge/festoon plugged in, is the red indicator lit up? If yes, check cathodes. If red indicator is not lit up, check fuse and check to see if its plugged in. If it smells burnt, than its shot and it will need to be replaced.
4. Fuse - If the transformer's red indictator is not lit up and you made sure the plug is fully in and plugged in correctly, check to see if the fuse is blown. To check fuse, push in and twist fuse holder. Remove fuse and see if it looks burnt out. If yes, fuse will need to be replaced.

Of the 4 possibilities, three (3) of them can be replaced by you:
1. 12" CCFL Cathode Light (Oznium - $3.99 each tube)
2. Transformer (Oznium - $3.99)
3. 1A 250v Fuse (Radio Shack or electronic store - $2.99)
